She gasped softly, "OMG, it's so beautiful."

Joon stepped up behind her, his body flush with hers. He won't touch her in that way, but he needs her to get comfortable with his presence. "JK planted them; he thought you might like them."

"I love them; I've never seen anything like them."

"When you are done looking at the flowers, would you like to read until lunch?" She nodded her head, but she didn't move from her spot, so he laid his chin on the top of her head and wrapped his arms around her waist. Joon could stand in the same place all day and never grow tired or weak. He wasn't sure how long they stood there, but having her there with him was peaceful and comforting.

They've had hundreds of women over the years, but he's 700 years old now. He's been a full Vampire since he was 300 years old, and it's expected of him to settle down and start having children. Joon took over for his father when he was two millennia old. He wanted to live out the rest of his life without dealing with politics.

He was a little mad that Joon made a deal with his guards; Joon wasn't sure what his father expected. Jin and Yoongi practically raised him. Hobi wasn't much older than Joon; he was born the same year. Then came Jimin and Tae 100 years after them, and 200 years after that, Jungkook was finally born. They were all raised together; he was there when they all became full vampires. One hundred years to them is like a year for a human in terms of how they celebrate. It would be exhausting to celebrate every year. Joon was the equivalent of a 27-year-old human.

One night, when they were drinking back when they could still get drunk, and before Jungkook was even born, he told them that he wanted his brothers with him when he finally found his Queen. Hobi wagged his eyebrows, "You gonna let us marry the Queen too and have babies with her?"

Yoongi scoffed, "There's no way he'll do that."

Joon turned to look at him in his inebriated state, "And why wouldn't I? You are my guards; you have sworn to protect me. If you go off and get married and have kids, then you can't protect me and the Queen. But if she's your wife, then you can. You'll stay with us forever."

"Hyung, you are serious?"

He looked at the youngest. He was still a teenager, as was Jimin. They really shouldn't have let them drink, but that's a story for a different day. "Yes, Tae, I'm serious. She will marry all of us and give us all children."

"Vampires oath?"

So they did. Joon swore to all of them that night that when he finally found his Queen, she would be their wife and mother of their children as well. When Jungkook was born and added to their crew, he made the same oath.

Joon's father wanted him to find the woman they were told about, the woman who would unite the kingdoms. At the time, Vampires and humans did not coexist peacefully. So he looked for her, but he gave up a while ago. The humans don't fear them anymore; they live beside them in peace. Then, they get invited to a ball in honor of Princess Amethyst. Joon believed she was the woman that his father wanted him to find.

He was sure his father had no idea that she was purple blood. If he had known, he would have found her for himself. They must never let anyone know what she is. She's living in a world where Vampires are everywhere. That's why some so many stores and restaurants are open 24 hours a day. There are humans here because vampires need food as much as humans do, but the majority of the population is Vampires.

Joon felt her hand patting his that was around her waist, "what are you thinking about so hard?"

"Hmm? Oh, nothing. Sorry, I zoned out. Are you ready to read?" She nodded, and Joon let her pick out a book; when she was ready, he pulled her into his lap. She squeaked just a bit, and it made him laugh. "I won't have sex with you until you are ready, but you need to get used to my presence. Okay, my Queen?"

She nodded her head quickly and squirmed a bit to get comfortable. Don't think about her sitting on your lap and the fact that all that's keeping you from slamming into her is a tiny pair of panties and her little shorts. "Are you okay, Joon? You are stiff as a board."

Ahh, right. That wouldn't be comfortable to sit on. Joon relaxed a bit and let her get comfortable. If she felt him, then she felt him. She leaned into the King. Her back was resting against the armrest of the couch, her head was lying on his chest, and her legs were spread across his leg and the couch. Joon wrapped his arms around her waist again. She was using his arm to hold up her book, and he loved it.

He probably should have grabbed a book for himself to read, but there was no way he would get up and move her. She was comfortable and seemed happy. She read for several hours, and Joon wasn't going to stop her, but he heard her stomach growl. "Would you like to go eat? I'm sure Jin has made something for you by now."

"I should, but this book is just too good."

Joon couldn't help but chuckle, "How about this? You stay here and read, and I'll go grab you food. I'll feed you so you can keep on reading. Does that sound good to you?"

She turned to look at him, "You don't mind?"

"Not in the slightest; I love seeing you happy."

She blushed a bit, "then yes, I'd love that. Thank you, Joon."

The vampire kissed her on the forehead quickly and then slid her off of his lap. "I'll be back in just a bit. Don't go anywhere."

She wasn't even paying attention to him; she was back reading her book. She must like it.
