Chapter 17-"Royally screwed."

-Present-

The last thing I heard before entering a state of euphoria was "To hell with it Popcorn.". His lips tasted of lemon and a tinge of alcohol and were way softer than I had imagined them to be. Sparks flew absolutely everywhere and like in those cliche books, electricity jolted through me. The kiss lasted for quite a while before I heard camera snaps.

What is with my friends and capturing every moment I have with Rhysand. Like bro, I'm trying to enjoy what could be the only kiss I'd ever get from Rhy and these morons ruin it. We smile against each other and pull away. I look at everyone smiling at us as I roll my eyes at them. I tried maintaining a cool exterior while having a world class freakout internally. 

Rhy and I kissed. Not just the friendly peck kiss cause this surely wasn't it. My mind was screaming, my heart a mess. We kissed. Rhysand and I kissed. Holy shit. My mind was at an override and the rest of the party was practically a daze. I didn't drink much tonight. Aria dropped me off today since I couldn't find Rhy anywhere. I texted him tho before leaving. I changed into my pjs and slept.

I'd be lying if I said that wasn't the best sleep I've gotten in a really long time. The taste of his lips and the Euphoric feeling still didn't go down. I had woken up early so I decided to treat myself to a long warm shower.

 I used this time to finally figure out my feelings so I don't end up hurting me or Rhy. After a good amount of debating Pros and Cons, I came to an extremely simple solution. I like Rhysand Jax Connor as more than a best friend and I'm royally screwed.

I showered and got dressed, deciding to look pretty today cause I felt happy. Considering the weather is shivering out, I decided on a black turtleneck, plaid skirt and knee high socks to keep me warm.

 Satisfied with my look I headed downstairs to eat my breakfast. My dad and sister dropped their toast and my mom burnt hers when they saw me parading down the stairs 15 minutes early then my usual time. 

My dad told my mom to check my temperature or see if I had a fever or something. I glared at the 3 of them, I'm not that late and grumpy in the mornings am I? Now that I think of it I probably am but anyways. 

I ate my breakfast in peace for the first time in a long time. I looked over at Julie's baby bump. She's 5 months pregnant now considering we found she was pregnant early october with a 4 week old baby.

 It is early jan now so we've still got about 5 months for the baby to be due. A summer baby, absolutely adorable. She looked at my outfit and teased me, "Who is my baby sister trying to impress?" My dad's eyes shot towards me with a glare.

 Ever since my sister told my parents about how they had neglected me, they put in more effort into becoming the best parents I could ask for. Seeing my dad being protective over me warmed my heart, considering he didn't even throw me a second glance when I was dating Adam.

I rolled my eyes and threw daggers at Julie as I smiled sweetly to my dad in an attempt to coax him and his cold exterior melted. Before my mom could catch up on what Julie just said, I stuffed the toast in my mouth and ran out the door failing miserably as I slipped on the ice.

 I forced myself up when I heard Rhy laughing. He was meant to pick me up today since my car was at the service station. I glared at him and flipped him off as I plopped my bruised ass in his car.

He was still laughing when he entered the car, I just sat there with my hands crossed over my chest and puffing my cheeks up like a 5 year old. He just cooed at the sight making me blush furiously while at the same time attempting to keep my angry exterior towards him. That didn't last long when he gave me the 12th stuffed toy he had bought for me from NYC. This one was an adorable panda. I melted instantly and hugged him as a thank you and I stuffed my precious panda into my bag.

I contemplated bringing up the topic of our kiss when Rhy himself brought it up. "So umm.. About yesterday, it doesn't change things between us does it? You don't hate me right?" My eyes softened as I turned to him and softly replied, "I've told you before. I can't hate you Rhy." He seemed satisfied with that answer so I changed the topic. 

He gave me the aux cable and instinctively closed his ears when I blasted Blackpink. I adore the Blackpink girls. 15 minutes of terrible rapping and singing later, we reached our school.

 I could see Rhy's visible regret for letting me use the aux cable. I just smiled at him as we headed towards our friends when I saw something.

I immediately squealed and smacked Rhy to look where I was looking. Lo and behold, Aria Avery Jackson and Rowan James Chase holding hands. I practically jumped and ran towards the latter with Rhy hot on my trail.

The second I reached them I shouted, "Aria. Avery. Jackson. You have a shit load of explaining to do." They both looked stunned to see Rhy and I standing there and grinned sheepishly. I practically dragged Aria away with the girls and we made her tell us what happened.

To cut the story short, after they kissed Aria and Rowan talked a lot in the party and facetimed once they reached home till 4 am when they made their feelings clear. He then picked her up in the morning, with flowers and everything and asked her to be his girlfriend. She agreed of course, else all of us would have killed her.

I'm proud of Rowan, he's always been an amazing brother figure to me and there's no one I'd trust my wifey with more than Rowan.

A/n I skipped lunch and wrote this for ya'll. So yes we've got Rowaria's ship to finally sail. AYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY. also we've ranked 806 in memories out of 32k. holy shit that's amazing. Tysm for everything and Ily guys sfm
