My Serotonin || Completed

Chapter 8-"I had no one."

-Present-

As I headed home with my heart in my stomach and a massive grin sporting my face I almost crashed into a trashcan. It stung me. I kept hating myself on my way home when Rowan called.

Rowan managed to convince me to come to a party in the evening by saying Popcorn was going to be there. I swear I never missed Rowan's annoying wits. So of course, knowing Popcorn would be there I agreed.

I wasn't stunned when 3 hours later I got out of the car in front of a house where the party was going on at full swing. I heard Rowan mutter hi to someone and I turned around to stop dead in my tracks.

Poppy looked freaking hot. Hot, amazing whatever it is. Even from the back she looked absolutely hot. I walked next to Aria as she gave me a quick "hi" and she turned around to see me. My mind went into a daze right there. Holy shit did she look amazing. 

 She rolled her eyes at me and walked right out and into the house. That stung too but I walked in after her regardless. After getting a few drinks and trying to keep Rowan sober, I ran into Aria who was finding Poppy. Apparently Aria had kept an eye on her but got distracted and Poppy managed to disappear by then.

Since Rowan's already drunk I helped Aria find Poppy and sure enough found her half drunk.

 She looked so different and in so much pain. Her eyes burned at the sight of something as she chugged down another bottle of what I could only assume was Vodka. Vodka shouldn't be drunk at such extremes. 

I snatched the bottle from her to stop her from drowning it. I told Aria to go find Rowan and that I'll take care of Poppy. After a minute of hesitation she agreed and went in search of Rowan. I turned back towards Poppy and she vanished.

 I growled in annoyance as I hunted her down for the second time tonight in a room secluded and curled up.

She looked at me with her eyes showing innocence and love for the first time since I shifted back. She had tears streaming down her eyes. Without any hesitation I went to her and pulled her into a hug.

 She started punching my chest as she spoke, "I missed you so much. It got so hard without you Rhy. I wanted to die so many times. Everytime I cried I'd miss you so much. E-Everyone kept hurting me and I had no one. I felt so alone without you Rhy. Why did you leave. You could have told me Rhy you could have. I cried so much once I found out you left. Everytime someone would hurt m-me I would stay strong for you. In hopes of you coming back for me Rhy. I threw away everything, pushed Aria away it was so bad. M-my grades dropped and e-everyone was disappointed in me. N-no one helped me Rhy. It hurt so much." She sobbed harder into my chest as I rubbed her back. I could only whisper, "I'm so sorry popcorn. I love you so much. I'm so sorry you went through all that." and kissed her forehead. She looked back at me and she smiled. She snuggled back into my chest and fell asleep.

I was carrying her as I found Aria and told her that I'll drop her off at home and to give me her key. Aria smiled at the both of us and gave me Poppy's key. I drove till her home and found her room. Her room seemed to be in a better condition than with 16 year old Poppy. I smiled as I looked around. I gently set her back down into her bed and wrote a note and stuck onto her phone. Before leaving, at the corner I spotted my hoodie. I thought I lost it 2 years ago while shifting. She loved stealing them. I turned around and gave her a smile as I went. 

Driving home I thought about her. Her eyes that shadowed so much hurt, pain and most of all sadness. She looked so broken. I wish I stayed. I really wished I stayed back for my Popcorn.

A/n so the boredom really got to me and I wrote another one filler of sorts. its short ik but like 3 updates so ayyy. ily guys

A/n frm the future. ellooo again, this chap was rlly short so i added on to it and now its 200 words longer, still not as long as I'd like it to be but works i suppose, anyways ur daily reminder to eat and sleep ya'll :)
