Epilogue 1-"See you soon."

5 years later

I woke up with a smile on my face regardless of what today is. It's May 12th. 5 years since Poppy left all of us. Rowan arose next to me, he cuddled in as I tried leaving the bed. I smacked his hand and managed to run away to our washroom.

I brushed my teeth in deep thought. It's been 5 years. All of us have moved on, it was hard yes but we've each got our own lives now. I used to think of Poppy every single hour for the 1st year and that decreased significantly. Sometimes I'd walk by a book store or find a really good book series and think, "Poppy would have loved this." Absentmindedly I'd often buy stuff Poppy likes and then Rowan would ask who it's for. I'd reply, "For Poppy" He'd be silent after that and I'd remember. He'd give me a sad smile and say, "She would have loved it." We'd be silent for 10 minutes after that and go back to normal.

Every year on the 12th our entire gang meets up. Back home, as a homage to both Poppy and Our friendship. Rowan and I were both back home and so were everyone else.

The last 5 years have been a blur. All 10 of us took a gap year and went to different colleges. Rowan and I went to college in Texas. The only completely out of the blue thing was the aliens. Earth was under serious fire and we needed aliens. God damn aliens. But hey we know an alien and he's pretty nice.
It didn't feel right without everyone but we made friends, had fun. It was a good 5 years.

Rowan came behind me breaking my train of thought by giving me a hug from behind. He gave me a sad smile, he hated today. He hated everyone today for taking his little sister away. It got better over the years.

We dressed in silence and headed down to Poppy's house. I've finished my college course, Rowan's finished his too. We came home right after we finished and we've been here for about a month now. Mads did a creative designing course in New Jersey, Alex stayed home and went to college, he got a dog. Zen he's really adorable.

Myra and Leo both went to college in LA living in Myra's old house. Trixy and Paxton went to college and often travelled around the world and got us the wackest stuff from each place they've been to.

Selene and Eric are getting married in a few weeks so all of us are gonna stay here till then. Rhysand on the other hand took some time.

He took a break from life for a year, we didn't break his bubble but we visited him and were always there when he needed us. He went to college in New York. The same place, same everything he and Poppy were supposed to go to. He took the longest among us but moved on, he's made friends and even went on a few blind dates this year.

We walked into Poppy's house. Julie gave me a warm hug. I looked around for her daughter, Julie laughed and told she's out with Rhys and will be coming in a while. Julie and Aaron got married mid last year, after everything settled down. Their daughter is 5 and she's the most adorable thing.

Eventually the gang joined us, everyone hand in hand with bright smiles on their faces. Hugs were exchanged and so were gifts. Bright smiles rang in the room. Rhys came in last with his goddaughter. They have an extremely close bond, he always tries making it every holiday and spends days on end with her.

He dropped her down and told her to go on and open the gifts we all bought her. She gets spoiled often from us. She waddled after opening my gift with excitement and threw her little arms around Rowan and I and spoke, "Thank you Aunty Aria and Uncle Ro!" I smiled at both her nickname for Rowan and how much she reminds us of Poppy."

Rowan smiled warmly and replied, "Anything for my favourite kiddo" and gave her a spin. I smiled at both of them. All of us had visited Poppy's grave at our pace throughout the day. Rowan and I went at around 4ish.

I smiled at the flowers littering her grave, the tombstone read, "Poppy Rose Sencen

12th December 2002-May 12th 2021. A loving daughter, sister, girlfriend, friend and human. Good night Poppy." Rhys and I decided on the inscription for her, it seemed the best.

I left her the flowers as I catched her up from the last time I met her. I appear strong with everyone, but sitting next to her right now, I couldn't help the soft tears rolling down my eyes.

I gave her a soft smile, "Till next time Poppy, see you soon" and went to Rowan. I let him have his privacy and sat in the car with tears rolling down my cheeks. He came about 30 mins later with an expression similar to mine. We cried for a while, wiped our tears, ate froyo and went back to Poppy's for dinner.

I don't think any of us will forget her. She's always going to be there with us throught the little and big things.

A/n and there's the first Epilogue. There's only one more but I hope you loved this one. I'm going to update the second one later today, it seems like a fitting day to end the book. Thank you and see you soon :)
