I was once known to be Arima Kousei when I was a mere child but after my uncle had taken me away from home, who I was before had vanished. There were several times that I wished that I want to still go back to Japan and release myself from who I became to be but how? My life was now tainted with violence and the life I have in front of my audience was a lie.
Watari Ryota had accepted my position but he still hate me for choosing my uncle rather than going back to the life I had in Japan. Meanwhile, Kaori inherited the 'Ashworth' surname instead of my biological father's surname 'Arima' after I had married her. My father's disappointed that I had chosen to keep using the Ashworth surname but he understood my decisions. My uncle had adopted me, after all.
Tsubaki, meanwhile, was told by Ryota about what I became to be and even after she knew that I live as the new Eagle Eye and the one who mainly make sure that the underworld won't hurt the unsuspecting normal citizens of the United States of America, she still hated me. At once, I met her again inside a restaurant alone. She didn't talk to me and treated me as a stranger.
Kaori did her best to make me understand her and if she wasn't around, I may have blamed myself for my decisions to accept my new position as the new Eagle Eye. She reminded me that my world will always be dark and lonely and she stayed with me to make sure that I still get to smile. The only important thing in the world would be that I love her, and she loves me.
"Don't be too weak, Kousei," she told me. "Tsubaki may not understand but remember, I'm here."
"Thank you, Kaori."
I kissed her on her lips and she gripped her hand on my right palm. "Tsubaki will understand one day."
"There's no way she would ever understand that I looked like a criminal to her."
"You're not even a criminal!" she snickered. "You're acting as a huge CCTV of CIA of the United States of America, am I right?"
"I guess, so," I replied to her. "I promise you, I won't be weak."
She kissed me on my lips and at the same time, she whispered on to me. "You've got your own heir, too."
I looked confused at her. "What are you talking about?"
"We're going to have a baby, soon!" Her eyes glistened in so much joy. "We're going to be parents, Kousei."
I kissed her after that. "Thats... that's good news! I promise you, he will be safe. He'll grow up safe and loved."
Kaori hugged me after that assuring me that our life has a future and my world may have changed but she will be light.
