Arima Kousei POV:

If there's only one thing I was able to be happy about ever since I became Jupiter's heir to his throne, it was the absolute change he did to me. He helped me move on from my mother's death and it helped me grow stronger unlike before. Even so, he had made me into a dangerous person, too. I'm sure my fourteen- year- old self would keep staring at me uncomfortably and ask me why it was alright with me to use marijuana when I can get high with it. I'll reply 'I liked the taste and the addiction I get from it'.

"Kousei," Kaori sat beside me on the glass dining table and gave me a newspaper after we had wonderful sex that morning. "I think you need to read this."

I opened up the newspaper she gave me and that's when I saw a huge headline about Phoebe Yang: 'Leader of Yang Syndicate, Phoebe Yang, Arrested in Northern Gates in Japan.'

"She deserves it, didn't she? I heard you never liked her," Kaori told me. "What do you think?"

"Phoebe's people will eventually retaliate and I believe she planned to get arrested in Japan even if she's notorious here in the United States of America," I told her. "She's a dangerous human being. We can't keep her alive."

My girlfriend's mouth went open when I spoke those exact entire words. It was as if, she didn't expect me to say those words to her. "What are you talking about? How can you say those words, Kousei? I don't understand!"

"Secrecy is the rule in my world, Kaori. I'm not a spy but the other members of Jupiter's Inner Circle here in the 'Eagle Eye' are spies who get inside many syndicates that needed to be abolished or protected," I told her. "My uncle knows a lot of dangerous individuals and I haven't met most of them yet."

"You're more like your uncle, now," she told me. "I met your biological father days ago. He doesn't have an aura like you and your uncle."

"That man's merely a spectator in 'The Eagle Eye'. He needed to be protected since he might be used against us. I may not like him that much but he's still my father," I told her. "I forgave him for using my mother after he divorced Phoebe Yang. It's also one of the reasons why I needed to expose the truth about her. To tell you the truth, without my uncle, I may have never known that I am the son of his illegitimate wife. He visits us for some time but he never stayed."

"Mr. Arima Takahiko regrets everything he did in the past," she told me. "He misses you so much."

I drank the wine I had kept on my hand and straightened my body up. "They're divorced and I'm happy about it. Phoebe never deserved my father to be her husband."

"That is true," Dad suddenly spoke up as I leave the dining room. "I'm glad that you exposed her. You worked your best to tell me why you hated me."
