Arima Kousei POV:

Five months had passed by after Jupiter brought my father to Los Angeles, California. For those five months, I had been on many piano tours and I was introduced to many musicians. After the tours ended, he had allowed me to live in Nevada Elite Music Dormitory and return to my studies. I've had two to three guards and five loyal servants in my huge suite. I was happy that ever since I had accepted my fate to be an Ashworth Group heir, he released Seto Hiroko and Watari Ryota from thorough surveillance but he had also legally changed my surname to Ashworth. I told him that I still want to have my dad's name on my birth certificate.

"Kousei," Kaori spoke after she had entered my room. 

"You know everything, now and I hope you respect my choices," I told her. "I am an Ashworth more than an Arima, now."

"I heard that your dad came to Los Angelese. Your dad's a good person and I hope you forgive him," she told me as we both sat on my couch. "Why won't he do that, Kousei? You're his son!" Kaori reminded me. She took the wine out of my right hand and drank it. "I didn't survive my surgery to see you destroying yourself!"

"I'm not destroying myself and this is just me, now!" I told her. "I will never know the reason why he was only financing me if June and August didn't abduct me. If I was afraid of them before, now, it was funny that they're actually my allies."

"June and August?" Kaori asked me. "Who were they?"

Even if it hurts to answer how I met them, I still have to answer her. "They're the people who kidnapped me six years ago and they're more of Cassiopeia's people."

"Cassiopeia?" She raised her eyebrow. "Who is she?"

I knew that at that time, I cannot keep my silence anymore and hide who I am, now. "Since I can't hide it, I'll have to tell you. If you say anything, forget that I was ever your friend."

Kaori swallowed. "Kousei, I promise you. I won't say anything. If that man ever gives you any dangerous job, be careful. I'm here as your support."

I kissed her at that time. "Be mine, Kaori? I'll protect you no matter what."

She blushed. "I'll think about it."
