Chapter X

A/N:
Chapter 10, woohoo! (Sorry for those of you who can't read Roman numbers or whatever that may be on English)

Everyone glared at Pearl, some with shock, some with fear and some in disbelief.

"I- I was here the whole time! You know I nor couldn't and wouldn't do that!" Pearl defended herself, even though nobody had said anything.

"Well, I stood right next to you and you didn't do anything," Cub shrugged. "I really don't know."

Xisuma started typing on his communicator and soon as he sent the message everyone's communicator buzzed.

"Wait what? I sent it as a private message," he frowned. Pearl checked her communicator, and it was as expected a message from Xisuma asking if Hypno was okay and where he was.

"Something is definitely happening," Xisuma said quietly.

They all stood there in silence for who knew how long. They were all thinking about different things, but mostly about what was happening. Pearl herself was very worried about everything that had happened. Not any of these things had happened in her last life, and honestly she was more worried about this than the war now. But they were interrupted when they heard a bunch of fireworks and the sounds of an elytra. Looking up, they saw that is was Wels. He landed next to the crowd, rather clumsy, and then looked at the crowd.

"What have I missed?" he asked.

"Basically some stupid rumour and that the server is endangered," Xisuma explained. "Where were you?"

"I might have gotten myself trapped in a cave?" he said, rather embarrassed. "What happened to Hypno?"

"I don't know, Pearl was here the whole time!" False exclaimed.

"Odd," Wels commented.

"We've already figured out that it is odd," Bdubs said.

"I do not like this at all," Xisuma said. "I don't like that we're so spread out on the map, I want to keep an eye on everyone. I think we should all stay in the same place until we find an explanation for this. The Hermits agreed.

"Sounds reasonable," Mumbo said.

"Where should we stay then?" Cub said.

"Hmm... Boatem maybe? It is the most visited 'region', isn't it?" Xisuma said.

"I knew Grian's diagon alley and Mumbo's chair would become useful for once. There's a bunch of small houses you can live in!" Pearl told her, gaining annoyed glances from Grian and Mumbo.

"I was going to have farms in these houses, mind you," Grian snorted.

"It's already settled, Grian," Xisuma smirked. "But first we need to find Jevin and Hypno. Anyone know where they are?"

"No, I suppose we need to go and search for them," Gem commented, the other Hermits nodding.

"Alright," Xisuma said approvingly. "We spilt into twelve groups; Wels and me, Pearl and Gem, Bdubs and Beef, Etho and Tango, Stress and False, Cleo and Ren, Grian and Impulse, Scar and Mumbo, Zedaph and Iskall, xB and TFC, Keralis and Cub, and lastly Doc and Joe (Sorry if I forgot anyone)."

Pearl looked at Gem when Xisuma said they would go together and they both took off just as Xisuma finished.

"Where do you want to go first?" Pearl nearly yelled so Gem could hear her over the sound of rockets being fired.

"Hypno's base?" Gem suggested, and Pearl nodded. They both started flying in that direction, and they could hear other Hermits flying behind them. Pearl didn't fly too often, so she was a little nervous. Sure, she had flown before, but not in a situation like this. When they reached Hypno's base (I have no clue what it looks like, I only keep track of Btm) they heard a muffled sound from inside. They quickly entered they building just to find Hypno lying on the floor. His eyes was wide open and filled with horror, and someone had put a gag on him. Gem removed the gag, and as soon as it was off Hypno took a deep breath.

"Get away from me!" Hypno screamed, pointing at Pearl. "You- You are not human!"

"What are you taking about, Hypno?" Gem said calmly. "Of course Pearl is a human, what else would she be?"

"I saw you! I saw-" Hypno began, but he didn't finish the sentence. Instead, he got a blank look on his face and looked confused at Gem.

"Gem? What's the matter?" he asked, inspecting Gem's concerned face.

"Hypno, am I a human?" Pearl wanted to know, just to see if he still remembers what he was about to say.

"Yes, of course! At least I think so?" Hypno said, and he looked at her as if she was insane. "What's going on?"

"Nothing," Pearl assured him. "Just me and my weird thoughts."

"Okay...?" Hypno said. He suddenly picked up his communicator and gasped as he read the lastest messages.

"Pearl, I think you have some explaining to do," Hypno said almost threateningly.

"She did nothing! I was standing next to her as that message appeared, she's innocent!" Gem defended her. Pearl nodded when a sudden dizziness hit her, and her vision faded. She heard whisperers, but she didn't hear what they said. She could only hear one word, mistake.

A/N:
Oh, who doesn't love cliffhangers? Update: I hate when other people gives me cliffhangers, but I love giving my reads cliffhangers. It's such a fine way to tease others.

Don't have much to say, sorry for a crappy chapter. We're soon on 400 reads though, and thank you for all the support so far! Love ya <3
