10. The truck is leaving

Lizzy opened her eyes. She looked around and she realized, that it's not her bedroom. It was Lucas'. They've kissed and then they talked. Just talked.

"Lana? Are you sleeping?" Lucas walked in from the bathroom. He had a smirk on his face and he looked puckish. He sat by Lizzy on his bed.

"How was your sleep, beautiful?" he approached her and kissed her on lips. Lizzy felt excitement.

"Awesome." she smiled.

"Today, we are going to taste freedom." Lucas smiled and showed Lizzy the key. Nothing's going to stop us now. Lizzy thought.

And she couldn't be more wrong.

When Lizzy went to lunch, she was excited, like something big is going to happened. Her hands were shaking when she sat down with Lucas, Karma and boys. Amanda wasn't there and that was something, that bothered Lizzy. But she couldn't do anything about it. It's between Karma and Amanda. Lizzy didn't wanted to choose sides between them two.

"So.. we have all we need. Tonight. Get ready." Will said and everyone seemed excited. The Twins were smiling ear to ear and Ad with Lucas high-fived.

"Guys, how are we going to do it, exactly?" Karma asked.

"So.. at 10 o'clock at the evening the truck will get ready. We already have the copy of the key and Will returned the real key to that witch Mother Krista.." said Jayden and Will saluted.

".. we will get to the truck, open it, get in and close it. And then we will wait. That's it." Alex finished and clapped.

"It wouldn't be that easy." Lizzy said.

"Don't ruin it, 'Lana'." Ad said with a sneering smirk on his face.

"I'm not ruining anything, I'm making it better. And what about when we get out? Then what?" she said and she was really curious.

"Well.." Will started.

".. we can't run away. That's .. stupid. It's just a trip, right?" Lizzy looked at Lucas, who didn't said anything the whole time.

"You're right, Lana. We're not escaping." Lucas said.

"But.."

"No, Ad.. we discussed it already. We're just having fun. We will return back when we would have enough."

"That will be never." Ad added. They all seemed huffy, but all of them understood, that they must come back. If they escape, someone would catch them and lock them in a place a lot worse than solitary.

Half past nine was ticking and Lizzy was sitting on her bed. She didn't pack anything.. she was just waiting for the time.

Suddenly, Amanda came to their room.

"Where are you going?" Amanda asked and she was taking off her bracelets. Lizzy watched them fall on the table.

"To taste freedom." Lizzy smiled. She didn't want to lie to Amanda, so she answered her this way.

"Okay.. and I guess I wasn't invited." Amanda said. Not with a sad voice. With a dissapointing one.

"I'm sorry. Karma was there first. And I can't stand you two being together. You want to kill each other.."

"I know. And I'm sorry." Amanda said slowly.

"You should be sorry to Karma. Not me." Lizzy stood up and left Amanda alone with her thoughts.

"Okay, are you ready folks?"

"Let's do this thing!"

Will pulled out the key and he opened the door easily. Everyone was really quiet but there was enthusiasm in the air. Everyone wants to feel free again.

Will climded up to the truck and he helped Karma to do the same. Ad and Twins climded too. Lizzy looked at Lucas and he was smiling. He kissed Lizzy on the forehead and then he repeated the others and helped Lizzy with climbing.

In the truck wasn't much space, but at least something.

"What if they'll check the load?" Karma whispered with a fear in her eyes.

"Don't worry. They never check this part." Ad said.

"Don't worry?! You're not shure if they aren't going to check this? You know how much problems we would have?!" Karma freaked out.

"Calm down. We can't lose our head now." Jayden said and then they all heard some voices.

"Sure Bill, see you next week."

Some man just walked in to the garage and kids in the truck stayed quiet. Lizzy swear she could hear her heart beating.

The man started to whistle and he got in to the car. He didn't check the load. Everyone felt relieve. The man started the engine and then they were moving.

They did it! Lizzy couldn't believe it. They were actually moving and they were going away from that horrible place.

After a few kilometers, when they were sure they are far enough, they jumped out the truck. It was quite hard, Karma nearly hurted her ankle, but it was okay.

They were all standing on that road. Everywhere was just buildings and deadly quiet. They all heard just the wind and all they could see was the moon in it's own beauty. They all took a breath of a freedom.

The night has just begun.
