Part 13

William POV- continued

Soon after, Chase pulls up at a karaoke bar and you all get out and go inside.
(Y/N) lets you sit down first and then shuffles into the booth seat beside you and Alex sits with her, Chase sits the other side of you with Mahkaila.

"Who's singing first then?" (Y/N) asks smiling at you all,
"not me!" Chase and Mahkaila both shout and then laugh at each other.
"I'm not one for singing if I'm honest," Chase says and (Y/N) snaps.
"You will be getting up and singing!" You and Alex laugh,
"calm down then! Why don't you sing first if you're so bothered!" Chase says back at her,
"nah I'm not a singer either," she says back to him.
"Lies! We've heard you sing Eric Church!" Chase shouts back,
"shit i forgot about that!" She says back covering her mouth and you all laugh.
"Ok fine! If i sing Eric Church, you have to sing with me?" She says to Chase, you all look at Chase as he starts shaking his head, you and Alex raise your eye brows and smirk at him,
"fine! You owe me after this one (Y/N)!" Chase shouts back.
"Erm... she doesn't owe you anything, may i remind you about truth or dare?" Alex says raising a brow, Chase looks at Alex and then to (Y/N) with a straight face,
"fair play Bowman, fair play." Chase says standing up and shuffling out of the booth,
"lets do it now so its over with!" You all laugh and Alex shuffles over to you.

They get up on the stage and you all start cheering and whistling and then laughing at them and Chase sticks his finger up at you all. They start singing 'Springsteen' by Eric Church, Chase starts singing first and (Y/N) looks at him shocked that he can actually sing and looks over to you, Alex and Mahkaila,  mouthing "what the fuck" and smiling, you all sit and laugh. You cant help but sit and stare at (Y/N) singing and smile at her throughout the entire song.

Alex POV

You all watch (Y/N) and Chase up on the stage singing and you look across at Mahkaila,
"who knew them two would make a good duo, holy shit!" You all sit pretty amazed not expecting them to be any good.

The song comes to an end and you, William and Mahkaila stand up applauding them and whistling, (Y/N) blushes and runs off the stage back to where you are sat and Chase takes pride and stands bowing and laughing before heading back over.

You stand up to let (Y/N) past to sit back between you and William.
"You guys actually sound pretty good together!" You say putting your arm around her as she sits down beside you. Chase looks at her and smirks.
"Since when could the NASCAR champ sing as well?! I nearly wet myself up there when you started singing!" (Y/N) shouts across the table at Chase and you all start laughing, she sits smiling and shaking her head at Chase.

"Right I'm going to get drinks!" You say and stand up after asking everyone what they want,
"I'll come help you carry them back," Chase says getting up,
"I'm going to the bathroom!" Mahkaila says and you all walk together and Mahkaila goes to the bathroom. You and Chase both wait at the bar and you look back at William,
"do you think he'll be ok?" You say to Chase concerned about your best friend.
"I'm sure he'll be fine. He seems to get on well with (Y/N) doesn't he?" Chase says back you.
"He sure does, thats why i keep leaving her with him, hoping he'll talk to her. She's understanding and he'll maybe feel better talking to a girl about that stuff," you say back to Chase, he nods agreeing with you.

You finally get served and sit at the bar waiting for the drinks to come, by then Mahkaila had come back and Chase grabbed her and dragged her over to the bar to wait for the drinks with you both.
"Hey baby, we're just letting William and (Y/N) talk for a bit," he says pulling her onto his lap,
"ah ok fair enough." Mahkaila says and smiles over at them,
"I hope he's ok," she says turning to look up at Chase and then looks at you.
"He'll be fine, he's got all of us." You say back smiling at her and she gives you a quick smile back before turning away again.
