Part 17

William POV- continued

You and (Y/N) start to head out and down the corridor.
"Wait, is your car even here? How are we getting anywhere?" She asks you as you walk down the corridor, you look at her smiling and pull your keys out of your pocket waving them letting them jingle in her face,
"my cars been here all day!" She looks at your keys,
"shut up!" Then looks at you with her mouth open,
"please don't tell me you have a GTR and you didn't think to tell me?!" She starts getting louder as shes talking to you, you laugh and nod your head over to your car as you unlock it,
"holy fuck!" She shouts and quickly covers her mouth as people start to look at her, this makes you laugh. You walk over and open the passenger door for her to get in and then get in yourself and look at her, shes already looking at you smiling.
"This is like, my dream car! I'm in my element right now!" She shouts again and then sits back in her seat taking it all in, you smile at her before setting off.

She gives you directions the whole way to her friends little office, she tells you about her life back in England and you talk about yours outside of racing, you listen to some music and in the blink of an eye you arrive after around an hour and look at the time,
"wow that was the fastest hour!" You say in shock.
"You ready?" She sits forward looking at you, you keep your hands on the steering wheel, swallow and take a deep breath and turn to look at her,
"i don't know, I'm kinda nervous now." You say to her quietly.
She rolls her eyes at you and gets out the car closing the door behind her and starts walking around,
"wow thanks!" You say to yourself before she opens your door and holds her hand out for you,
"its normally the guy that does this you know?" You say to her smirking grabbing her hand and getting out,
"oh i know, you're a big girl though... she's only gonna talk to you Will, you'll be fine, don't worry! I'm right here anyways," she says to you taking her hand back from you and walking towards the door of the office.

She walks in first and says hello to her friend and you stand behind her awkward and start feeling sick and sweaty.
"...and this is William," is all you hear her say and they both look at you, you smile awkwardly.
"Hi William, my name is Casey. Its nice to see you in person rather than on the screen in a bright car flying past at 200!" She giggles and you look at (Y/N) giving her the daggers, she laughs too.
"Anyways, do you want to come through and we can have a chat about everything?" She says to you pointing to a door just behind you, you nod and nervously follow her into the room, (Y/N) strokes your arm as you walk past, "just relax Will... I'm only here," you hear her say as you walk in and smile a little before closing the door and sitting down.

Your POV

Your heart breaks for William and all he's going through, you could see in his eyes the hurt and how much he really didn't want to be here as soon as he parked his car, then the fear in his eyes when you came inside.
You sit waiting anxiously tapping your leg looking around, you find a magazine and pick it up and flick through it before throwing it back onto the table. You look around some more and end up getting your phone out and watching YouTube videos that you had missed, you finish watching one video and are about to click the next one and the door opens behind you.
"(Y/N), can you come here please?" Casey says and you put your phone away and walk towards her,
"everything ok?" You ask her and she invites you in and nods her head over to William, you look over and he's sat in tears,
"he nodded when i asked if he wanted you in here," she says giving you a little smile. You go over and sit beside him, he doesn't look at you but you see him breathing heavy trying to calm himself down, you reach out and grab his hand and he looks down at it and squeezes your hand and takes a deep breath.

You zone out for the rest of the session just staring into space thinking about him and just stroke his hand with your thumb,
"thanks Casey, was good to meet you and I'm sorry about... that." You snap out of your stare when you hear William saying this and let go of his hand.
"Thanks case, was good to see you again!" You say smiling at her and give her a quick hug before both heading for the door, you both wave as you walk out the door.
"You ok?" You turn to William asking walking back to his car, he nods at first looking down,
"yeah I'm fine," he walks round to the passenger side of his car and starts getting in,
"what you doing?" You stop pulling a face at him, he looks over the roof of his car and smirks at you,
"catch!" He shouts and throws his keys to you,
"no way! Really? You're actually letting me drive? Oh my fucking god!" You shout in shock just looking at the keys in your hands, William laughs and gets in the car and you quickly get in as well.
"Hey (Y/N)? Thanks for today. I didn't think you'd actually go out of your way to help me, really means a lot." You feel your eyes starting to fill up and turn to look at him and he's looking at you with a little smile, you smile back,
"come here you big softy!" You say and lean over and hug him, he doesn't think twice about hugging you back.
"So um... you gonna tell me where we're all going Monday then?" You say down his ear hugging him, he laughs and moves back sitting back in his seat smiling,
"nope! Its still a surprise, you'll like it though... and its nothing mean don't worry! Now come on, lets head back. There's drink to be drank and food to be eaten!" You shake your head and set off after he says this.
