Part 41

A week later...

Your POV

You say goodbye to Will, Chase and Mahkaila in the airport before leaving with Alex. Will doesn't really say much to you and starts walking away as you hug Chase and Mahkaila saying goodbye. You walk up behind him and grab his hand pulling him and he turns to face you,
"What's up?" You ask him still holding his hand, he looks down at your hand and back at you.
"Nothing." He says shaking his head and gives you an awkward smile. You look at him with a raised eyebrow and put your arm around him, walking towards some seats.
"It sure doesn't seem like nothing." You say to him sitting down, he shakes his head again.
"It's nothing, I'm fine, don't worry. Now you go get your flight! I'll see you in a couple weeks!" He says quickly standing up, you stand up and he hugs you.
"I'll miss you." He whispers down your ear, you smile and hug him back.
"I'll miss you too. I'll still pester you though!" You whisper back to him and both laugh.

You walk back over to the others, you hug Mahkaila and Chase again and whisper to them,
"Keep an eye on him please." They both smile at you and nod. You say goodbye and head off to your flight with Alex.
You're excited to be going home and being with Alex, but deep down you're worried about Will.

Alex POV

After a long flight and then a couple hour drive, you get to her house. She runs straight in and hugs her parents and you stand smiling in awe. She eventually introduces you and you say hi and give them hugs and take your bags up to her room.
"Hey Alex, come see, there's someone id like you to meet!" She shouts grabbing your hand and running downstairs and outside, you look and see her dog running towards you. You immediately get down and pet the dog, you stay there for a while.

You wake up on Christmas Day to someone walking around and making noises and roll over to see (Y/N) sat awake already shaking her head.
"Thats just my mother, she turns into a right child at Christmas. Merry Christmas, Alex!" She says and leans in giving you a kiss, you smile and say it back to her and both get up.
"We're up, we're up! Its 7 o'clock, but we're up!" She shouts as she opens her bedroom door, you laugh at her and all go downstairs.

You watch her open some presents and her mom brings through a present for you in a box, you're surprised and don't really know how to react, (Y/N) smirks at you and you open it looking inside. You smile and first you pull out different things, small things like socks, sweets, an England shirt, which her dad thinks is hilarious, you see (Y/N) look at her dad and they both laugh and then her mom hands you another gift.

"Here's another, this one is kind of for you both." She says and you look at (Y/N) and she nods for you to open it. You open it and see its a canvas photo of you both, you smile at it.
"Look at the back." Her mom says smiling and you turn it over to see writing on it from her family and friends, all hand written notes on it, you smile at her and hand it to her and she reads them all smiling and laughing.
"Now you'll never forget us across the pond!" Her dad shouts, she hugs them both and you thank them. You give them gifts too, which is a bunch of stuff you brought over from the states and obviously some NASCAR merch, which they both seem to love.

Later on, you go through to help (Y/N) and her mom set the table up for Christmas Dinner, her moms phone rings and she disappears to take the phone call and comes back after a couple minutes, she seems really happy.
"What you so giddy for all of a sudden?" (Y/N) asks her laughing.
"What? Nothing. I'm just happy you're both here and i finally got to meet THE Alex Bowman!" She shouts, sounding a little nervous.
"Thanks, I'm flattered. Its good to finally meet you too!" You say back with a little laugh.
"I love the accent!" She says back laughing.

A few minutes later, (Y/N) goes and gets you both a drink and sits down having a drink, you do the same and her mam disappears again. You sit chatting and flirting like you've just met and laugh at each other.
