Part 33

4 months later...

Your POV

Its the Saturday before the final race of the season. You get called up by Mr.H in a team meeting with everyone at HMS and say a few things, you all stand around the garages while he talks. You're stood with Alex who has his arm around you, William beside you and Chase with Mahkaila under his arm, Kyle is beside him too. You get up in front of everyone and take a deep breath and look up. Alex, William, Chase and Mahkaila all look at you confused and then to each other, you didn't tell them this was happening.

"Ive been asked to say a few words before the last race so, here it goes... ok so, i know I haven't been here the full season but let me tell ya, its been one heck of a season for this team! Couldn't be more proud of the boys for how well they've done... cant forget the crews as well! You guys are awesome too! And all my lovely behind the scenes friends! You've all done this team proud! Honestly, I couldn't be any happier about my decision to move here and work with you all. Boys, no matter what happens tomorrow, I'm proud of you all, just go out there and kick ass! I mean... have fun?" You hold your mouth correcting yourself and looking at Mr. H and see him laugh along with everyone else.

"You guys have gone from famous strangers i watched on random livestreams, to my bestest ever friends and I wouldn't change that for the world! I'm so thankful for you guys... and on that note, show everyone what you're made of, go get another win! No matter what happens tomorrow, just remember, you aren't finished just yet... next year, you will be back, better and stronger than ever! Cant wait to see what you guys have in store for us next season! Here's to this season and an even better next season!" You shout holding your drink up in the air smiling, everyone follows suite.
"Does this mean you're staying for next season?" Chase shouts over and you look over to him and the boys giving them a smirk and wink then watch them high five, hug and do a little dance and you laugh at them before running off to see the boys and Mahkaila.

You walk straight towards Alex and William runs at you hugging you nearly taking you off your feet.
"I'm so glad you aren't going!" You laugh at him and hug him back,
"I told you I'm not going anywhere." You smile at him and walk to Alex.
He grabs your waist and looks down at you smiling,
"Why didn't you tell me you were staying? Or even that you were doing that little speech, very cute by the way!" He smirks at you and you smile putting your arms around his neck.
"Just thought a bit of good news before the race would hype you all up a bit, did it work?" You say and bite your lip smirking, he pulls a face straight away.
"Not for me, but that did!" You laugh at his quick response and rest your head on his chest wrapping your arms around him, he moves his hands and hugs you, holding your head into his chest. Best. Hug. Ever. You close your eyes smiling and hug him back.

You open your eyes and see Will stood with his mom, they both look over at you and Alex, you wave your arm for Will to come over and he does. You pull Will into the hug so its the three of you.
"Hey! Move over let us in!" Mahkaila shouts and makes her way into the group hug with Chase.
"I'm proud of you guys and I love you! Thanks for making this year so special!" You say to them all, you feel your eyes filling up and move back. You look up to see a few people around and cameras taking photos of you all.

You all decide to have a campfire and a late BBQ at a nearby lake, you sit with Will while Alex cooks the food.
"You've not talked much lately and you've been cancelling plans a lot, everything ok?" You turn to look at Will drawing shapes in the dirt with a stick, he nods.
"I'm fine, just nervous i guess. I'm really happy you're staying here, (Y/N)... I've got something to tell you as well," you smile after he says this and wait for him to tell you.
"Ok, so... I've been seeing someone." He turns to look at you, you move back and stare at him smirking.
"Is that why you've been so quiet and cancelling on us?" You ask him nudging him and he nods and looks away laughing quietly.
"Have you told these idiots?" You ask him and he furrows his brows shaking his head and you both laugh.
"So... tell me more! Who is she?" You watch him go awkward and scratch his head.
"A friend of an old friend..." you look at him surprised and cant help but smile and let out a little laugh.
"William Byron! Why didn't you tell us sooner?!" You hit him laughing and he laughs at you.
"I'm happy for you Will, i really am." You look into his eyes smiling and he looks at you.
"Thanks for everything you've done for me the last few months, it means a lot, i probably wouldn't be where i am now if it wasn't for you." He says to you right as Alex shouts the food is ready. You both stand up and you turn to him and hug him, he hugs you back.
"I'll still always love you." He whispers down your ear and lets go walking to get food, you smile and walk over as well.

Alex POV

You all sit down to eat and then chill around the fire talking. You sit on a camping chair with your arm around (Y/N) sat on your lap snuggled up to you, seen as though you only had 4 chairs between the 5 of you. She sits flicking through her phone and stops showing you a post.
"Oh my god, that photo is the cutest ever! A fan had tagged us all in it!" She shouts and passes her phone around showing everyone a photo of you all in a group hug, everyone asks her to save it and send them it and she does.
"You should comment on it, might make someone's day. You're kinda a big deal now! So is Mahkaila!" You shout and laugh, Will and Chase agree with you. You watch her share the post to her story and type a soppy caption, you smile and shake your head and she looks at you smirking and tells you to shut up.

"Guys, i have something to tell you..." William randomly says and you watch (Y/N) drop her phone and look at him shocked, he looks at her and shakes his head ignoring her and she smirks.
"You guys know I've been quiet lately?" He says and pauses, you all nod confused.
"Yeah well... I've been talking to someone and seeing her for a few weeks now..." you look at (Y/N) who has a huge grin on her face nodding.
"What the hell?! Why didn't you tell us sooner?!" Chase stands up shouting in disbelief and then laughs, you all laugh at him and William nods.
"As long as you're happy man!" He goes up to Will fist bumping him.
"I'm happy for you dude!" You shout smiling at him and lean over ruffling his hair up laughing, he hits your arm away laughing.
"Good for you, Will." Mahkaila says smiling at him as well.
"Thanks guys. She's coming to the race tomorrow, so don't make a big fuss, please!" He shouts at you all and you all agree.
You all grab a drink and cheers before drinking some.

"That person replied to my reply, freaking out cause i replied." (Y/N) says laughing to herself.
"Told you, you're a big deal now! Wait till we have a kid!" You shout raising your eyebrows and then bite your lip smirking waiting for everyone to react.
"What?!" Mahkaila shouts choking on her drink, Chase spits his out and dribbles most down himself and Will looks at you both with his mouth open in shock.
"I'm kidding! Obviously!" You say laughing and roll your eyes looking down at (Y/N).
"Or are you?" She says holding her stomach smiling looking up at you, you stop smiling and your heart drops, instantly feeling sick.
"I'm joking! I'm joking! Oh my god, you just went white as a ghost!" She shouts at you and you take a huge breath. You hold your heart and look at the others who also reacted the same way you did.
"You actually scared the shit out of me then, i feel like I'm gonna throw up! Don't get me wrong, one day, id love that. But I wasn't expecting that!" You say flopping your head back relieved.
"Aww I didn't think you'd react like this. Also, if i was, I wouldn't be announcing it to everyone first. That wont be happening any time soon though!" She says, loud enough for everyone to hear.
"Sorry baby." She whispers resting her head on you.

After another hour, you all head back to the track and go into your trailers going to bed.
You lay awake with (Y/N) snuggling and watching Cars after turning the TV on and it was already playing.
"Are you gonna watch it in silence or should i just put the TV on mute seen as though you know the goddam movie word for word!" You say raising your voice squeezing her sides, she laughs at you and wriggles away, you grab her pulling her towards you.
You hold her against you and kiss her neck, she quickly sits up and you lay confused until she turns around jumping on you, straddling you. You smirk at her and grab the back of her neck pulling her down and kissing her, she kisses you back until you're both making out.
After almost an hour of having fun, you both lay down to go to sleep.
