Running on Water: The Flash

chapter 7

Eddie walked in right as Joe said the Eddie was Barry's twin brother. Barry and I turned around to leave when I saw Eddie standing at the door with 'what the hell' written all over his face. His eyes had widened and his mouth was open a little making a small o shape. I stopped where I was standing, my face was also in shock hopping he didn't hear what Joe had just said.

"Did I hear that right? Tell me this is a joke."

"Dam it, you figured it out," I blurted out because I just panicked and I thought I could turn this situation into a messed version of a prank. Barry just looked at me with a confused face, but eventually gets the plan. I turn around to face Joe and I mouth the words 'play along', he nods.

"Wait what, so this is a joke."

"Sorry partner, we just wanted to have some fun with you so we thought we'd freak you out a bit."

"It was my idea", I said. "I saw you when we walked in and I remember you from when we went to school."

"Wait are you Martha Kingsley."

"Wait, you and- "Yes, its me." I cut off Barry talking trying to make it sound convincing.

"Wow, its great to see you, we should catch up sometime."

"Sure, but I'm kind of busy, I.." I panicked and just said the first thing that came to my head. "I have a date with Barry" "Wait, we do?" I nudge him in the ribs lightly. "Oh ya, c'mon lets go, talk to you later." We walk out the door and when we're in the hall way I sighed really loud.

"Oh my god, that was way to close."

"What was that about?"

"What?"

"The date thing."

"Oh, sorry I just said the first thing that came to my head, and since I watch The Flash every Tuesday I kind of developed a crush on you."

"Really?"

"Ya, it must have been so weird to figure out that someone had a crush on you just by watching tv."

"Thats actually kind of cool."

"Barry you do know it was a crush on the actor that plays you right, Grant Gustin."

"Oh," I could see Barry's face turn into disappointment.

"But since that guy is all the way in Vancouver and is way out of my league, you'll have to do. Now lets go catch a movie, but I want to go meet Iris first."

"You know Iris?"

"Barry, I know almost everything about you, even the people you fight."

"What is The Mis- I cut him off, "Kyle Nymbus."

"Ok then."

We walked to GBS looking for Iris, when we walked past someones desk I was SHOCKED to see who was sitting there. "MASON?!" I just yelled out really loudly because he was supposed to be dead since Dr. Wells killed him. Everyone looked at me like I was crazy. Barry looked at my face and it looked like I had see a ghost and I might as well have. "Mason, how are you still alive." I said in a voice only Mason, Barry and I could hear. Mason's face just turned really scared. "Sorry, I have lightning psychosis, I get sudden out bursts of emotion." I walk way and Barry looks at me like is was insane, not crazy INSANE.

"What was that about?"

"Mason, he's supposed to be dead."

"What do you mean?"

"I told you I can't tell you everything because it would mess up your future."

"Liz, that is something serious."

"Barry, enough! I'm not telling yo"u. I walk out and stand outside the door.

"Are you ok?" I turn around and see Iris. "Iris, ya I'm fine." "How do you know me?" "Barry told me about you." "Oh, are you friends with Barry?" "Ya, and he's being very nosy." "What about?" "Its just, I know a secret and he wants me to tell him, but I can't because it would, he would be to shocked to take it." "Oh, can you tell me?" "No, sorry." "Well you should go back in there, he's waiting." "Alright."

We all walked to Jitters and sat down for some coffee, I got some hot cocoa because I don't like coffee.

"So, how did you and Barry meet?"

"We met in collage." I said quickly

"Oh, I didn't know you went to CCCC. What did you major in?"

"Computer sciences in cyber security."

"Wow, that must be amazing!"

*ring, ring, ring, ring.

"hello, its a what?! Sorry guys I got to go."

"Wait, why." Iris and I asked at the same time.

"Its an emergency, I just have to go."

He ran out the door, Iris and I were just standing there when her watch went off. "Oh, sorry my break is over I got to head back to work."

"Alright, I should go back to S.T.A.R. Labs, I left my backpack there. Bye Iris."

We go our separate ways and I head for the lab. When I go there no was there so I got a little curios and start walking around and stop in front of the wall that I think is Wells's secret room, I wasn't sure all the walls look the same. I walk up and I could hear someone talking, I put my ear to the wall and listen. "Miss Callahan knows more that she is letting in, if she does know almost everything there is a risk that she knows my secret and if she does, well I can't take that chance." I move away from the wall and grab my backpack and leave as fast as I can and head for the precinct. When I get there I sprint upstairs to Barry's lab hoping he was there, when he wasn't I called him.

"C'mon pick up, pick up."

"Hello?"

"Barry, its Liz I need to talk to you, NOW."

AHHHHHHHH, hehehehe ohhhh whats gonna happen. No one knows, even I don't know I'm still deciding on what should happen. Today is Tuesday March 30, so its Flash night with the trickster and just read some cast tweets and now what to watch it even more. And thanks to everyone for getting to 100 reads, you guys are great!
