Running on Water: The Flash

chapter 9

It was around 6 in the morning, I look over to where Barry fell asleep and he was still there. I get up and stretch around then walk over to him, and I have a devilish smile plastered on my face and tap my fingers together like I'm evil. I walk closer and lower myself so I'm right in front of his ear, this is where it gets fun. As loud as I can I yell, "the house is on fire!" He jumps out the chair and falls flat on his face, I start dying. He stays there for a while and makes a groan.

"C'mon dude, get up you have to go to work. Barry, Barry?!" I start getting nervous because I might have just given him a heart attack. I get on my knees and look at his face i get lower moving my hair out of my face. "Barry this is not funny, I'm serious, since your heart beats faster than normal it might be more of a risk to get a heart attack." I turn him over and he doesn't move, I put my head on his chest and hear his really, really fast heart beat. "Well at least his heart is still beating, but how do I know thats not faster than his already fast hea"art beat. I freak out and start giving him CPR. The first compression I give him made him crouch. "Awe man I didn't know you had to push so hard when you do CPR." "Well now you do, now what was that for?!" "I don't know maybe because....." He sits up and he has an evil smile on his face. "Oh god, I have read to many fan-fictions to know what that face means, Barry don't you dare!"

He comes at me and i roll away making it out the door, but of course he catches me. He picks me up and throws me over his shoulder. "No, Barry PUT. ME. DOWN!" "Nope," "Joe! help me I've been taken hostage.Joe!!!!!!" Joe comes running out of his room and sees whats going on, and starts laughing. "Barry put me down or I'll get Joe to shoot you, even though you're faster than a bullet." "I wouldn't shoot him." "You said you would, remember episode 12- crazy for you, you specificly said you change one more time I'ma shoot you." "You know i was kidding right." "I know, but it was funny." "Now Barry put me down all the blood is rushing to my head." "Fine." "Thank you," I said trying to get my balance 'cause I was a bit dizzy. "Never, ugh, never do that again or I will personally put a bomb on your rist. Yet you would still be able to take it off by phasing through a wall." "Wait I can do that?" "Yes, now I'm hungry who wants breakfast."

"Man this is really good. Where did you learn how to cook."

"Joe, that is for me to know and you to find out, now you two are going to be late for work if you don't hurry up."

We all get to the CCPD and I saw that everyday is just a regular routine, Joe goes to work on any new crimes or investigations and Barry goes upstair to process data. I followed Barry to his lab, mostly because I wanted to see what things I could mess with.

"Whatcha working on?"

"Oh, just some evidence from a murder."

"Is there anything I can work with?"

"Can you put those test tubes in the center-fudge."

"Sure, whats in them and can't you just shake them really fast?"

"One, blood samples from the victims from yesterday, and two I'm currently busy."

"Sure you are." I said with extreme sarcasm. "Can we go to big belly burger for lunch. I've seen it in Arrow and The Flash and always wondered what it tastes like."

"Sure, let me just finish this up."
He zoom around finishing things in a flash( huh huh, no pun intened, maybe.) He was finished in under 10 seconds, bye the time he was done, papers were flying everywhere and my hair was all in my face. "Thought you said you weren't going to speed around." "Well, I get hungry easily, so, lets go."

"Man, I wish we had Big Belly Burger in my universe."

"You do know its just a bunch of grease and salt."

"Hey, don't ruin the secret ingredients."

"C'mon its getting late."

We go back to Joe's house and sit on the couch and watch a movie that I chose and made Barry watch because he was going to watch it if he liked it or not. He didn't like it because you can guess what I made him watch. "Let it go, let it go, can't hold it back anymore! C'mon Barry sing, I know you can sing, I have heard you sing and you're AMAZING!" "I'm not much of a singer." "Really, what about Barry, Barry, Barry." "Caitlin was..um." "Wait, summer days drifting away."

"Oh my god, lets go." He grabs my wrist and we walk out. When we got outside he moved his hand from my wrist to my hand, interlocking our fingers. Feeling tired I decided to lean my head against his shoulder. When I notice what I was doing I quickly move my head away and look at him kind of embarrassed. "Oh, sorry." "No, its ok. You already did tell me you had a crush on me." "Right." I drop my head quickly then bring it back up, stare at him with a little smirk then put my head back on his shoulder.

We got back to joe's house and stopped right in front. I stared at him into his beautiful green eyes. I look up to his hair, I ran my hands through his hair messing it up so it looked sort of like a birds nest. He dropped his head like I had just destroyed his meaning of life.

"One thing that always made Grant Gustin AND Barry Allen the cutest guys in the world was their hair."

"And you just messed mine up."

"Well, your hair looked like it needed to be messed up."

"Hey, when you called me yesterday you sounded worried. You ok?"

"Ya, I'm fine something just freaked me out, its ok."

"Can you tell me?"

"Sorry speedy, no can do."

I started leaning in closer until we were inches away. I moved closer and closed the gap between us. Joe walked by the window and saw what was going on and walked back to the kitchen.

tada! who liked that, right, right. Anyway if anyone saw episode 17 of The Flash you must have been yelling at the screen just like I was. It kind of makes a lot more sense why Eddie has blond hair and Harrison doesn't, I won't say because there might be readers who haven't seen that episode.
