Running on Water: The Flash

chapter 11

Barry's POV
I held her in my arms panicking. When I finally snapped out of it, I stood up and ran to Star Labs. Caitlin had everything already set up. I ran over and out her on the gurney and Cait hooked her ip to all the moniters. When she was hooked up she had no pulse. Caitlin used the defibrillator and Liz,her body jolted up a bit, but nothing happen. She did it again and still nothing.

"She's flat lining!"

"Caitlin, what else can we do?! C'mon Liz please don't leave me."

"I'm going to defibrillator her again."

Caitlin did it again and still no pulse. The whole time this was going on she was soaked. Her hair kept dripping even though I dried most of it, her skin was dripping water like she just came from and EXTREME workout. The something strange happen. All the monitors stopped, they maid no noise not even a faint beep. Everyone in the room became quite. The weirdest part was that all the water droplets on the ground started floating, then she shot up.

Liz POV
I shot up out of the bed just like Barry did the day he woke up from his coma. Right as I shot up I saw water fall to the ground almost as if it war raining inside. Barry ran over to me and held me tightly, I hugged him right back.

"Please don't scare me like that again. This is why I didn't want you in the field."

"Barry, her vitals, blood presure, everything. Its normal, there is no sign of any kind of trauma."

Everyone was running around checking monitors and talking to each other from different points in the room. I stayed silent the entire time. I guess I was in shock or something, but I felt fine. Until I noticed me hair was dripping, not like little drips when you get out of the shower. Like real drips, like my hair turned into a rain cloud and making it rain. Everyone became quiet and looked at me, Barry walked over to me and grabbed my hand and cupped it in his, I did the same and looked into his breath-taking green eyes.

"Are you ok?"

I shot out of my train of though because his eyes were just so beautiful, now that I saw them up close I could not keep my eyes off of them, until Barry spoke.

"Liz, are you ok?"

"What? Ya, I'm fine. I feel fine, just one question why is my hair wet."

"Kate got you with a blast of dark matter and you were soaked with the water in your bag, but I think since you got wet when you were hit with the dark matter. The temporary effect that wears off when you come in contact with water doesn't work."

"So what you're saying is that I'm a meta."

"There is and there isn't a possibility-"

"Cait let me cut you off right there." I was quiet and everyone was waiting for an answer. "That is awesome!" I got out of the bed and started walking around, when I turned around everyones face was just in shock. "What, why are you staring at me like that." When I got out of my little shock/celebration i saw water fall in front of me. It made me jump a little and I yelped. One thought came to my mind when I saw the water fall. "I'm a water bender?! Oh man that makes everything so much cooler. That means I can manipulate water, heal, fight, and." I stopped dead in my tracks when a thought came to my mind. "That means I can also become a blood bender!" My face turned from excitement to shock.

sorry this chapter was a bit short, but I wanted to leave it there in suspence. If you don't know what a water bender is then that means two things - one, you've never seen Avatar: The Last Airbender and two, YOU NEVER HAD A CHILDHOOD! If you haven't seen Avatar then you never had mental battles with yourself on which element you would want to bend more and the elements are air, water, earth, and fire. Anyway go on youtube, find it, watch it, even if its just a little clip, you need to know what it is.
