chapter 10

We parted and looked into each others eyes like nothing can ruin this moment, until we hear an explosion. We look towards the city and see a big ball of fire rising in the air and Barry's phone rings. "Hey, Cisco, if its about the explosion we saw it." He puts the phone on speaker so I could hear too. "Surveillance caught a man leaving the scene right before the explosion went off. Its someone called Mark Sheffer." I interrupt. "Was he ever in Starling City?" "Ya, he was arrested or apprehended by the Arrow and then arrested by SCPD, but he was released on all charges. That makes no sense why would they do that?" "Amanda Waller, thats why." "Who is Amanda Waller?" "I'll explain it better when we get to S.T.A.R. Labs, Barry lets go." "I thought you didn't like me carrying you?" "I've grown to like it." I gave him a smirk and we headed to the lab.

"So who exactly is Mark Sheffer?" Caitlin asked putting a picture of him on all the screens. "I think you mean Mr. Boom." said Cisco sucking on a lollypop. "Mr. Boom?" "Ya, he places bombs everywhere and they go boom." "Sorry to burst your bubble Cisco, but he already has a name, his name is Shrapnel. Amanda Waller gave it to him." "I actually have to agree Shrapnel sounds better that Mr. Boom." "Now that we've established a name can we go catch him?" "Barry, slow down I have to explain some things first." "Alright, go ahead."

"Ok, here we go. Mark Sheffer was released from prison by Amanda Waller. She wanted him to be on the Suicided Squad or Task Force X. Task Force X is a group thats part of the A.R.G.U.S. organization. It stands for Advanced Research Guarded United Services. Lyla Michaels work for this organization and Diggle is part time. Diggle and the Suicide Squad went East to do something, forgot what it was, but everyone had to stick to a plan and Shrapnel didn't stick to that plan. He blew something up then tried to escape. There is one thing you need to understand everyone on the Suicided Squad has little bombs implanted in the back of their neck, so if you get out of line, well I think you know what happens. Anyway Shrapnel didn't stick to the plan and he went boom. So I am extremely surprised on how he's still alive, so any questions?"

"Ya, how do you know so much. You don't work for A.R.G.U.S. do you?" Cisco asked a little nevous. "What?! No, absolutely not. I would never work for any organization thats run by Amanda Waller. Though yet again she did create Project Cadmus, which turned out pretty good for the Young Justice, and I'm getting carried away." "Should we call Oliver?" "Caitlin calm down, its ok. He's not a meta unless he was effected by the dark matter released by the failed particle accelerator." "We should at least tell Felicity he's here and alive." "That yes, but as long as he's not a meta we'll be fine. Dr. Wells can I speak with you?" "Sure."

We walk into the room where Barry's treadmill is. "What would you like to talk about Miss Callahan?" "You." "Well that is deffenatly an interesting topic." "I know your secret, Eobard." "Now I won't tell anyone as long as you tell me one thing." "And what would that be?" "Did you kill the real Harrison Wells?" "Yes." "Okay then." I started getting a little nervous. Wouldn't you be nervous if you were standing in front of a speedster who can run faster that time and kill anyone just be vibrating his hand right through you. We walk back out and Barry was gone.

"Where's Barry?"

"He went to catch Shrapnel."

"Cisco!"

"What?! Why wouldn't you tell me, Shrapnel carries bombs with him. You know like little grenades."

"Guys we have a problem."

"Barry, what are you doing you should have at least tell me you were leaving, oh god I sound like an overprotective girlfriend. Anyway, be careful."

"Ya, about that he is a bomb, he's just like Bette."

"He's a meta?! Barry, are you anywhere near water?"

"Ya, I'm in the park."

"Splash him, if he was made a meta by that meta we faced off yesterday, his power will were off if he comes in contact with water."

"Got it."

A couple minutes passed by until Barry called back.

"We're good, he's meta no more."

"Alright, then give him to the CCPD and get your butt back here."

He zoomed in and papers and my hair went everywhere. He changed back into his clothes and walked into the main lab.

"Barry!" Right as I was about to scold him the crime alarm went off.

"Really, what now is it Digger Harkness?!"

"No, our meta from yesterday. Her name is Kate Langston."

"Alright lets go!"

"What?! No, you're not going. I don't want you to get hurt!"

"Barry, if she's already gotten to work there will be more metas than you can deal with and since Cisco's not Vibe yet, I'm going to have to do!"

"I'm not what?"

"Nothing!"

"Now Barry, get your ass out the door!"

I storm out grabbing a bunch of water bottles with me. I walk back into the main lab seeing Barry still standing there. I walk over push him in the room where his suit is and make him change when he's done I grab his arm and drag him out of S.T.A.R. Labs to downtown by Jitters.

When we got there Barry went straight to fighting the main meta and I went to go start pouring water on evryone. Until I saw Iris walk out of Jitters to see what was going on. I look at my watch and saw that it was her break time. 'Crap, Iris is going to get hurt' I thought to myself. I could see Barry being occupied by another meta who controlled plants. Then I saw something horribe, Kate walking over to Iris with her hands ready to shoot dark matter. I sprinted over to Iris. "Iris!" Move." She turned around at me and didn't know what was going on. I ran at her just as Kate shot dark matter at her. I was able to push Iris out of the way, but I got hit instead and since I had water in my bag I got soaked, but thats not what got me worried. Only my clothes got wet and the thing was my hair was dripping water, like I had just gotten out of a pool of something.

Barry's POV
I heard someone yell "Iris! Move!" I looked over and saw Liz push Iris out of the way and get hit with the dark matter. "Elizabeth!" I ran over and held her in my arms. "Guys, Liz got hit with the dark matter! And water's not working!" "Barry, can you find her pulse?" I look for her pulse, but I can't find it. "Caitlin, her pulse isn't there." "Liz, please don't leave me." I held her there in arms hoping she would come back, please.
