Ashton and Elaine were completely in their own world the rest of the day at therapy. Elaine found out that when summer is over, Ashton is going to be a senior at the same high school as her. The two had always gone to the same school, but just have not noticed one another in the crowded hallways. As Ashton said: "I definitely would've remembered you."

Both of them shared a lot of the same interests. Their main topic: Music, which definitely gave them a lot to talk about. They had a detailed discussion on how fabulous Matty Healy's hair was and imagining how amazing it would be to write a song or two with bands such as All Time Low or Mcfly.

Eventually, Ashton mentioned that he actually played the drums and Elaine, of course, insisted that he showed her his skills. The two then made their way over to Ashton's home.

After the short trip to his house (which happened to be a couple blocks away from Elaine's), he lead her to his room.

Elaine studied the Polaroid pictures he had laying around his desk and noticed how most of them were pictures of him and two younger kids; a boy and a girl- most likely his younger siblings. She also observed the band posters taped up on the brick walls in his room, confirming that they did indeed have the same taste in music.

After Elaine was done snooping, she turned back to face Ashton. The curly-headed boy took this as his cue to start, so he sat down on the stool in front of his drum kit and played to impress.

"You're amazing, Ash!" Elaine exclaimed once the drummer was done, "You could be, like, in a band or something!" Elaine basically yelled out.

Ashton shyly rubbed the back of his neck with a huge smile and a light blush adorning his face, "I was actually thinking about being in one a couple times, but we couldn't find a lead singer. The last I heard of the band was that the would-be guitarist turned into a huge druggie and the guy who would've played the bass is now some insanely good soccer player."

"Oh...it's too bad that didn't work out, I'm sure you guys would've been amazing." Elaine reassured the boy.

Laying on his bed, Ashton shrugged it off and opened up his laptop that was set on the nightstand.

"It's whatever, I don't really care anymore."

He then switched the subject.

"Hey, come check out this funny video." he spoke with a smile on his face, probably already imagining the 'hilarious' video in his head.

And so their night began.

Elaine ran over and bounced onto his mattress and they continued to watch the random YouTube videos. They stayed up until hues of pink and orange filled the sky, signifying dawn. Elaine's head was laying on Ashton's chest and one of his strong arms was wrapped around her waist, securing her into his side and providing a sense of safety to the girl. It was as if they've known one another their whole lives and that feeling was strange to them; neither had felt something so right before.

They just clicked.

Throughout the whole night Elaine didn't think of Luke once, but Luke was definitely thinking of her.

He needed her, but she didn't need him.
