Luke was beginning to feel different; empty. He believes it's due to the fact that he hasn't seen his girl in a while and the only way he could think of to "ease" this empty feeling was to start following Elaine around everywhere she went. Honestly, Luke didn't realize how creepy this was.
Today, he found out that Elaine was going to, yet again, hang out with her absolutely beloved Ashy-Ash. Disgusting. Luke believes that she belongs with him and not that kangaroo. How old was this Ashton guy anyway? He looked like a 27 year old man to Luke.
Luke followed behind the pair until they eventually walked into the local ice cream shop. Cheesy much? Luke scoffed and rolled his eyes at their cliché hangout spot. Of course he would take her out for ice cream- how original. Note the sarcasm.
Luke kept his gaze on the couple through the giant windows that covered the front of the shop. Elaine was looking as beautiful as ever.
She had a pastel blue skirt on with ripped, black tights underneath and a white crop top shirt. Her light brown hair fell straight down over her shoulders. Luke still has yet to see a girl as pretty as her, and he has given up on the fact that he will.
The two talked for a little bit, probably about casual things, but how would Luke know? He's not a lip reader. After a while, Luke was actually starting to get pretty bored, that is until the pair leaned in and kissed each other.
They kissed.
Luke didn't even get to kiss her and he knew her longer.
Not fair, Luke internally pouted like a child would.
Afterwards, they leaned back into their seats all blush-y and cute and whatnot. It was sickening.
Let's just say, Luke was not happy.
He felt betrayed by this girl whom he thought (for a very long time) he would end up with. He felt the empty hole she left in him. But now he felt something else; the unfairness of it all,
the injustice of unrequited love.

Elaine has been doing very well. She hadn't seen Luke in a while and she's been hanging out with Ashton a lot. As a matter of fact, she was currently eating ice cream with him at the ice cream parlor they have in town. Ashton is a very good influence on Elaine; she hasn't been doing any drugs lately, and she's planning on taking some school courses over the summer to make up for all the classes she missed during the school year. Things were falling into place, and it felt great
"So, Elaine, I wanted to ask you something." Ashton shyly speaks up, disrupting the brief moment of thought Elaine was having.
"Ok, shoot" she says somewhat dubiously, not completly sure what to expect.
"I wanted to ask you." Ashton breathes deeply to calm himself a little. Elaine thought it was adorable how nervous he was over whatever he was about to say.
"Willyoubemygirlfriend?" he spits out at an extreme speed.
However, Elaine manages to catch every word he said. "Yes!" she says a little too quickly while slightly jumping out of her plastic chair. "I mean", she clears her throat and repeats her answer again, but calmer, "yes."
Both of their cheeks were ablaze. Neither of them had ever blushed this much in their lives.
Ashton takes ahold of Elaine's hands and pulls her in for a quick kiss across the table, not wanting the first kiss they have end up being some kind of slobber fest.
Puling apart from each other, the new couple walked out of the shop together holding hands and oblivious to the fact that Luke saw the whole thing.
It's an overwhelming feeling losing the only person you have in this world.
Luke is mad. No, more than mad, fuming. Livid.
The furious boy followed the lovey-dovey pair all the way back to Elaine's house, where they bid farewell to each other and kissed again.
Luke looked after Ashton with spite as he sauntered away down the sidewalk, from Elaine's house.
Don't worry, Luke wasn't going to beat him up or anything; that would be pointless after what he was about to do to Elaine.
a/n what do you think luke is going to do?
btw, it's getting juicy
i feel like it's annoying when i say this butttt...
