Elaine has been getting worse; too many thoughts were clouding her mind and she was having trouble deciphering between imagination and reality. It was definitely the drugs that were messing her up. Michael knows that she is getting bad, but there isn't really much he could do; he had to distribute a certain amount of drugs a week and Elaine was his main customer.

However, things had changed by the next time they met up. Elaine looked significantly worse to Michael (and everyone pretty much). Her already-pale face was now completely blanched, and the bags under her eyes had doubled in size and darkened in color. Her once lively, hazel eyes were now bloodshot 24/7, and it looked like she had lost weight from her already-slim body.

The couple was in the same place where they always met up; the alley. Michael approached the sickly girl and placed a hand on her boney shoulder, cringing at the feel of her shoulder blade protruding from her back. Before Elaine could say anything, Michael spoke up.

"I think you should you should lay off 'the stuff' for a while..."

She was far too weak to resist him, so she fell into his warming embrace.

Yet, her goal wasn't to try to seek comfort.

She was basically a junkie who needed drugs, so what did she do? She fucking stole a bag off of Michael.

Pickpocket- a skill she didn't know she had, but when you're desperate you can and will do anything.

Without saying one word at all, she made her way back home, satisfied with her stealing success. All was good until she ran into someone she had been avoiding for a while.

No, not Luke;

Calum.

"Oh look, it's the freak." He snickered while advancing towards her.

So not in the mood, Elaine thought to herself.

To avoid major conflict, she burst out into a full-fledged run. She looked behind her only to find that the jock was now following just as fast, probably faster due to his recent soccer training for the upcoming season .

She just wanted was to go home and forget about everything.

Her feet pounded against the hard cement sidewalk as her breathing increased; her hammering heart only intensifying the scary moment. He probably was finally getting back at her for that time she kicked him.

It wasn't until a couple blocks later that she thought it was time to give up and just let him get her. She put her hands in the air and slowly turned around waiting to finally be caught. This was possibly the only moment she has ever regretted skipping gym class.

"Okay, you got m-" The tired girl started in between pants of breath.

Wait, where did Calum go? She swore he was just right behind her. Wait, was he even there in the first place? What was happening?

Why does everything have to be so confusing?

Conflicted and confused, Elaine got home and ended up crying herself to sleep; just the same as she's been doing every night this past week.
