His Confession

chapter 18 I am sorry

Ryan watched as Alexa slept all the way to his home all he could think was how he would face her questions, how he would tell her that he loved her that he wanted her to stay near him all the time. He drove through the cityto his place. he stopped by the signal just a mile away from his penthouse all he could think is how much someone became so important in his life, he never thought he could ever love someone after his mother left him but when he saw Alexa, there was a small voice in the back of his head nagging him to be near her, to listen to her talks, to spoil her. He was not a good guy, he did wrong things to others. But for some reasons he didn't want Alexa to see that side of him.
Ryan slowly picked Alexa from her seat making sure she didn't wake up, carrying her in his arms untill he reached guest room.
He laid on the bed and sliently walked back.

There were lots of thoughts running in his mind all he could think at that moment was how did she feel ? did dhe kiss him back just because she didn't wanted him to feel bad, or was it real one, where she actually wanted him to be there to protect her ? Although she didn't talk anything about the kiss maybe that's what she wanted, she didn't want to recall it or was ashamed of what happened.  Damn it this is so confusing. He never thought having a girlfriend would be so clear yet confusing.
" where is she ?" liam came in and asked.
" sleeping."
They sat in silence for a minute and liam asked breaking the silence.
" What are you thinking ?"
" Nothing." Ryan was angry, confused and worst of all he was  helpless. Alexa was sleeping but soon he has to face her and he didn't know how to. He wanted to know what happened between her and Jhon but he aslo wanted to talk about the kiss they shared.
" Ryan, you wanna know about my sister ?" He wanted to know everything about her, every small detail, her likes-dislikes. Her childhood, everything.
Ryan just gave a nod.
" Alexa was my dad's favorite, when she was born i was 4. she is the princess of our house. she hates dolls and toys. when she was 15 she once saw me train with dad, from that day onwards it was her dream to fight like dad. She always asked me to teach her some moves and tricks. She fancied to learn how to box. I always denied her thinking that she will hurt herself but Alexa being a wicked little girl got under my skin.
let me quote what she said.
' li, what if someday you and dad and mom are all out and i am alone at home and someone breaks in'
' Don't worry sweet pea we won't leave you alone.'  i said back.
' what if my exams are going on and you are at university and mom and dad are out on a dinner.'

trust me no one can win from her in arguments. So at the end she won and i had to teach her. She was so happy when i said that i will help her learn boxing.
Liam smiled remembering the day when he said yes to her and she jumped up and down and hugged him.
" watching her smile is the only that matters in my life. She was 18 when Jhon joined the league. I used to hate him he always had a reason to walk in the house. And as per the rules no one i mean absolutely no one was allowed in the house from the league. My mom was totally oblivious to the fact that my father was underground wrestler and he picked fights. she thought that he is a mechanic and owed a garage. She still thinks that. Alexa was never allowed to talk to guys naturally because she was beautiful and innocent. Jhon took advantage of that and got close to her. so close that he made her hhink that we are nit allowing her to talk to ghys purposely, he started filling her head with wrong facts about dad and me. In fact he managed to make her go against the rules and took her out in the middle of the night in the frat parties. she never had alcohol in her life and he made her drink those. She came home drunk. Dad was so angry on her for the first time. she was grounded later. but she never told dad that Jhon initiated all these. I know that because I saw her  going out with him. i warned her but she would not listen to me. she thought i was just being paranoid and don't allow her to do things that other girls do."
" She started falling for him isn't it ?" Ryan asked .
" yes, she used to defend him everytime. I hated that because i knew he would break her heart. So as a brother that last option i had was to talk to Jhon about this."
" He put a good act saying that he loves her and want her. That motherfucker actually said that he will do anything to get her."
my dad was not happy about it so naturally he refused to accept the relation in between them. it was my mom who was always looking good in the people. Alexa got her angel genes from my mother.  Alexa can find goodness even in a demon.
my mom convinced my father me to let her ho and accept him. My father accepted him just because my mother him to. Alexa was happy everything was going good. I don't what happened, one night she just ran away and it was yesterday we saw her after 8 months." Liam continued.
" few weeks ago he came by to find her but when he couldn't, the bitch dared to say that she cheated on him and had an affair with other guy and she ran away with him, just like she did with Jhon. I know she would not even think about other guy, i know that cause she is so innocent and dumb that once even in her open book test she answered every question without looking in the book.
Me and dad never believed his story and we started searching in every country we thought we would find her but we didn't untill yesterday when you called. I wish she would jave listened to me or dad. People think that she is weak but she is the strongest person i known."

" I am sorry. i didn't listen to you. you were right and so was dad. That's why i was scared that if i go back to the house you will not accept me and i was so ashamed of myself and my decisions that even adter warning was did the one thing i was told not to. " Alexa's soft voice filled the room.

Both Ryan and Liam turned and saw her standing on the stairs with her head hanging low and the curtain of her hair covering her face. Liam walked to her lifted her face and saw her eyes moist.
" Hey sweet pea, no matter what happens i would never leave your side. You get that ?" He saw a tear slip from her eyes on her cheeks. he brushed them and held her close to him.
" and li-" she looked up to him and said "-I am not dumb !!"
liam looked down and gave a sheepish grin.
" Why did you run away from him ? You loved him." That Ryan this time. he was angry that she had to go through this.
" Yes, princess why did you run away ?"
" Can we just forget..."
" No we can't, he is coming to get you. If ypu don't tell us the reason then how are we going to stop him ?"
" Sweet pea, he will feed us lies again and if we don't know the truth then we can't do anything."
" fine. But promise me that you both will listen to everything i say and won't interrupt me ?"
" yes promise." liam said.
" Ryan ?"
" Yes. "
" promise ?"
" promise."
" Okay, so i start with the day we first met...."
