chapter 23 Meeting.

After Evan left Ryan continued checking the agreements. 2 hours later, there were few left when he was interrupted by a knock. Alexa peeked in and when she saw him nod at her she walked inside with hands full of of files and few folders.
" All the reports are prepared and these are few files that needs your signature so that it can be officially put on the company's list of the investments. "
" Did you call Ms. Janice ?" Ryan asked.
" Yes, but her assistant said she was busy by the moment and told me to call back in the evening."
Ryan nodded and examined all the reports.
"It took lot of time for you to prepare the reports why ?" Ryan asked while reading them.
" The notes they sent me were all wrong according to the data entered in the computer so, i first made a tally of the data then, i had to see the shares and confirm everything with the agreements and investments, since i have to preapare separate departments reports and of three months together, it was taking a lot of time. "
" Okay. You want to suggest something ?"
" I was thinking if the department head, prepares the reports then it will become easier for me to just tally them and present it. It takes a lot of time for me, which makes it difficult to do other things."
" okay. you prepare a letter saying that, take my signature on it and circulate it in the office.

After Alexa left Ryan called Roman to let him know they have to meet Ace today.
" Yes ?"
" Roman, today we have to meet Ace again with Evan."
" Evan Walker??"
" yes."
" Jesus, i hate that guy."
" I don't understand why you hate him but, I think his case, Ace and Jhon are somehow connected."
" What ? why do you think that ?"
" I have a hunch, let's hope I am wrong. Be ready at 10 pm meet me the east cross road."
" From your place ?"
" Yes."
" Okay. Oh and you are buying me a drink." Roman said.
" Do you ever stop drinking ?"
" NO." Saying that Roman ended the call.
Ryan wanted to spend some time with Alexa but when he see her all he could think is Jhon kidnapping her. Taking her away from him. He can't let that happen. He wanted to deny the fact that He was slowly falling for her, fast and deep.
Soon it was 6 pm and the office was almost empty. Alexa packed her stuff and took few files with her so she could do it at home. She knocked to Ryan's office and peeked in saw him on the table reading a file, he was surrounded by papers.
" May i come in ?" Alexa asked with a smile. Ryan smiled as he saw her peeking in the office with a cute smile.
" Come." he said.
" tired ?"
" Not yet. Ready to go home ?"
" Yes. Wait you are not comming ?"
" I will join you at the dinner, tell Mrs. Kim whatever you want. She will prepare it for you in dinner. She is a great cook."
" But office hours are over, you could do it at home ?"
" Baby, being a CEO does not mean just sitting on the chair and sign the papers, i have other things to do."
" But--"
" Go home, spend some time with Liam. Didn't you miss him ?"
" I did, but it would be great if you will be there as well."
" What will i do in between you people, besides i don't think Liam will like it if you give me more attention. " Ryan smirked.
" Whatever. Come home soon. Bye." He watched as she blushed to his comment.
" Bye baby." Ryan watched her walk out of the office and smiled thinking about how cute and adorable she is.

After she left Ryan still had to call Ace. He called his Right hand man.
" Ace."
" Ryan Wesley, to what do i owe the pleasure?" he said sarcastically.
" i want you meet you with Evan."
" The lawyer, the fighter, the mafia all at one place. Bit weird don't you think."
" No i don't, I am rethinking my decision about training your men, but i want to know the whole story."
" whole story of what ? princess Diana?"
" You want me or not ?"
" Fine. I am supervising one of the shipments, in the east coast, near the cable bridge. 11.00 pm sharp. And is your friend accompanying you ?"
" Of course. "
" Alright then we will meet tonight."

Ryan ended the all and texted Evan to meet him near the east cross road from his place. It was his luck that Ace was at the east coast, exact 20 miles from his place.

EVAN: Time ?
RYAN: 10 pm.
EVAN: Okayy.

After texting Evan, Ryan started completing his paper work with the company files and the rest. He finished everything and reached his house although as soon as he opened the door he heard the sweet and beautiful laugh of his angel. He involuntarily smiled and walked inside leaving the car keys in the bowl full of keys. He saw Alexa sitting on the floor and Liam sitting on the couch and giving her a head massage. Liam talked as she laughed.
" That was so fun, you could never find me." Alexa said smiling.
" Well, why would I check the cupboard, what if a green eyed boy crawls out from it ??"
" Our house is not haunted Li." Alexa siad in a 'duh' tone.
" Well, the perrons didn't know it untill the first appearance, so you never know. What if they are there but never showed up."
" Liam, if you keep going like this, i will make sure to put my doll in your room after naming it 'ANNABELLE'. " Alexa said seriously.
" Don't you dare do that !"Liam said, horror clear on his face.
" Oh, try me."
Liam gulped visibly. After a short while of their staring competition, Alexa snorted and laughed out loud making Ryan chuckle again.
" You are a little minx, you know that." Liam said rolling his eyes.
" maybe." Alexa smiled and saw Ryan leaning on the wall watching them.
" Ryan you are home !" Alexa exclaimed.
" yes. " Ryan smiled at Alexa and gave a nod to Liam.
" Come on I made dinner, go freshen up and come down while Li will help me arrange the dishes."
" I will, only if you won't put your doll in my room."
" Of course, i won't silly."
Liam smiled and followed her in the kitchen.
