His Confession

chapter 25 The movie scene

Ryan drove to the cross road and waited for Roman and Evan sonce none of them were seen around. Ryan unlocked his phone and saw Alexa's scrunched up face on his wallpaper that he set. He clucked it when he fist got her to his bedroom and she scrunched her face because he was not holding her. She looked cute he thought. Imagining her face in his mind brought smile to his Face. He called Roman to ask where he is.
" I am reaching just a sec." Roman said as soon as he picked up.
" okay. I'll call Evan."
" Okay. I don't care." He said, but before Ryan could say anything he ended the call. Ryan shook his head.
There was a sudden flash of light on his face. It was from the car waiting exactly in front of his, across the signal. Ryan waited untill the driver stopped flahing the lights and saw it was Evan in the car. They both nodded at each other, at the same time Roman's Ferrari arrived in the adjacent road to his. It felt like a movie scene where there were three cars on the three different roads meeting at a crossing. Roman put the car on gear indicating that they can now proceed to meet Ace. Since Ryan was the only one who knew where to find Ace he started driving straight towards east followed by Roman who was later followed by Evan.

Reaching at the east coast of the city, Ryan stopped his car and walked out and was joined by Roman and Evan by his side.
The east coast was full of  containers piled one upon the other. there were lot of them as far as the eyes could see. The entrance of the coast lead them directly in the middle of the containers. The doors of few containers were open which were ultimately empty. And on walking farther more the coast could be seen clearly.
" It is very peaceful. " Evan said.
" Too much silence then needed. Ryan let's get back in the car, this doesn't look safe." Roman remarked.
" Ace told me he would be here, he has a shipment to receive or supervise or something. "
" Come on, let's get back in the car, if he is here which means there is danger. I am sure he if was here he would have seen us enter the area, Let him come to us."
Ryan nodded and all three of them walked back to their respective cars. Roman joined them all in a conference call.
Ryan was surprised that he had Evan's cell number considering he hate him so much.
" Do you really think he will come to us himself ?" Evan asked.
" You can go out and see if you feel so unsure. Maybe take a bullet or so that we know what kind of danger we are facing." Roman said in a sarcastic way.
" Well, i didn't mean it as a offense, i am just wondering he is a mob boss, why would he come to us ? Isn't it like we need to go in and see whether he is there or not ?"
" Look around, there are lots of places to hide, there will be bullets flying from every direction if we go in there unannounced. " Roman said. Ryan knew he had a point, they can't just go barging in.
" Well, then what do we do ? sit around and wait ?"
" Ace said the shipment had to be received at 11.15 or something, it is still 10.50 there is time, let's wait here and have patience. " Ryan ended the conversation and a comfortable silence fell among them.
After few minutes passed by from the corner of his eyes Ryan saw a man on the top of a container. He continued looking at his phone acting like he didn't see him and said
" Roman there is a guy watching us, in front in second lane on top of the container. Don't look. Don't let him feel we notice him."
" Jesus christ Ryan, call Ace. This guy has a sniper in his hand." Roman said after noticing the gun. He was so worried for some reason, he knew he was not Ace's men. These men were someone else. Ryan immediately called Ace and after 2-3 rings he picked up.
" Ryan, I was about to call you. There is a slight change in the location, come to the Blacks hotel, Room no. 489."
" Boys, let's get out of here." That was the only thing that Ryan said before each one if them put the car on gear and reversed the car out if the parking area. But to their bad luck the bullets started flying in their direction.
" Shit !! what the fuck ?? man, what's going on ?" Evan said in panic.
" Stay on the call everyone and drive as fast as you can save yourself everyone. "
" Roman lead Evan to the hotel. I will distract them. Go !!" Ryan said he wanted them to be safe, before anything happens to anyone of them.
" What  ?? No, i am staying with you !!" Roman shouted.
" Go, Roman do as you are told." Ryan shouted and Took the turn leading them away from the Hotel into the city. Ryan put the car in gear and drove past the cars in the highway straight in the city. As he expected seeing the only target they proceeded to his direction, he saw in the rear view mirror that they were following him on bikes, it's not good he thought and they were picking up the speed, getting close to him. He was not sure what he could do anymore. One of them was right beside him. He took the gun and pointed at Ryan, At that moment all he could think was Alexa, her smiling face and he saw his death approach him. But like a miracle, Like a devil came down to help him the guy on the bike smashed with the truck ahead of him and was thrown out of the highway on the side. all the cars behind him stopped. Although the rest bikes still followed him. He was now only minutes away from entering the city, he looked ahead and remembered that he has Alexa to go back to. He cannot let anything happen to himself. Reaching the city, he took left and entered the small alley taking a shortcut to the nearest police station.
" Ryan ?? are you alright. "
He didn't bother answering and drived in the police station taking a sharp turn inside the parking. The guys on the bikes took a turn as well but the tires slipped and their bikes fell off they slided inside the parking area of police station. Ryan immediately disconnected the call took his phone and started running inside the station. The men started firing at him not realizing where they were. Soon the police from all directions came in and arrested them. Ryan gave his statement and left. He was relieved that they were caught and he walked back to his car and sat in. On the other seat he found a note saying 'YOU GOT AWAY THIS TIME. BUT YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO NEXT TIME. NOT YOURSELF NOT HER.'
Ryan was scared. he called Alexa and she didn't pick up. He called Liam but even he didn't pick up. He was frightened now, what if someone took her. This means that Jhon knows now that he has Alexa, not that is scared of him but it means that he has to speed up the plan to catch him or worse. He started the car and made his way home. He need to know for himslef that both the brother and sister are fine and alive.
