His Confession

Chapter 21 work work work !

Aelxa saw as he walked out of the house locking the door behind him  She was sad that he left but it was the first time since he said 'no' to her. She silently returned to her room that she chose and hid herself under the sheets until the sleep consumed her.

Waking up in the morning Alexa did her businesses and git ready. She wore a white shirt and tucked in with a black pants and a black blazer. she paried black heels with it to complete the outfit. After putting on a light makeup and fixing her hair she walked down the stairs and had breakfast with Liam. later she kissed Liam on his cheeks as a goodbye and left for office. She noticed that Ryan left his driver back to bring her. As soon as she reached the company she made a bee line to her desk and started off with pile of files left on her desk. Half way through she was so frustrated that she banged the file on the desk and called the finance head. There were so many mistakes for her to correct, it would take a lot of time for her. She kept the file to the rest and satarted off with the others. Checking the files for the mistakes she put all her concentration in it.
" You called ?"
Alexa looked up and saw the head of the finance department.
" Yes, actually there are too many mistakes in this file. Did you recheck it before sending here ?"
" Actually, I did not. The head of the team made this report so i thought i didn't have to check it."
" Oh. umm... Actually the report is not done properly, the profit is not counted nor do the statistics match with the actual funds and the main conclusion is also missing. "
" Geez, Is there something right in it ?"
" I guess, the schedule funds provided are right and the basics but the rest calculation looks like it is written approximately. "
" I'll do it myself. I am sorry for wasting your time considering you have so much work. " he said looking around her desk.
" Yeah. It's Allright. Just make it fast. I will have to submit it to Mr. Wesley today. "
" Sure. Just give me a time limit I'll do it."
" It will take me 2 hours to complete all this, so you can give me in an hour ? "
" sure. It'll be done by then." Alexa smiled at him and returned back to her file. Checking the daily bills she piled them in folder. She went to Ryan's office and knocked the door after hearing a soft 'come in' she went in.
" Ryan, Good morning ! These are few bills that needs to be paid today. The daily bills for the stock of the papers and the rest are the maintenance bills and the few othefs that were remaining of this month."
Ryan took the folder from her and checked the bills.
" Okay, put in them in the official back account. And Alexa how long for the daily reports and the agreements ? "
" Umm.. There are many reports i have to go through, they are making lots of mistakes. But I will continue with the agreements, it will take an hour or two to complete. "
" Complete fast, I have some other work for you as well."
" Sure." she nodded and went back to her desk started off with her files.

Ryan gave her good amout of work to keep her busy. He didn't know whether to tell her about how he felt or not but one he knew for sure was that he loved her and nothing and no one can change that. Ryan was busy in his thoughts when his phone went off. It was a private number.
" Ryan baby ?" His mom asked.
" Mom ?"
" yes, I just called to let you know that i reached and that Alexa's mom is wishing to talk with her, can you call her please ? Is she around ?"
" Yes mom, hold on a sec." Ryan got up and walked outside his office and saw Alexa completely engrossed in her work one hand gingerly holding the page of a file and other holding pencil, whose one end was in her mouth which she was  slightly nibbling.
" Alexa, you mother wants to talk with you." He said and handed her the phone.
Alexa was so happy to finally talk to her mother, it was a long time; very long time.
" mama ?" Alexa said unsure.
" Little princess, how are you ? my baby It's really you ? I thought your father and cassie were lying to me !!"
" Mama, i am here in New York and I miss you. I am sorry i didn't come home i was a bit occupied. "
" It's alright my little girl. How are you ? Are your hurt ? Do you eat well ? I heard Li is with you there, make sure he is not getting himslef in any problems there and when are you coming home to meet me ?"
" mom ! too many questions but I am fine, not hurt and i eat well and I'll make sure Li is fine and I'll be coming home when my boss allows me too." Ryan raised his eyebrows when she said that she was not hurt.
" Boss ? you started working ?"
" Yes mom, Cassie's son, Ryan he is my boss. Anyways I've lot of work to do, I'll call you as soon as i am home and free okay ?"
" sure baby."
" Okay, bye mama take care."
" yes, you as well. bye." she ended the call and handed it back to Ryan who was waiting there while going throught some of the files.
" Is it done ?" he asked pointing at one of the file kept separately.
" yes, but it is a monthly report of finance department. "
" hmm. complete the agreements first then you can do the rest of the files." he said and went back inside.
Ryan called Liam, who picked up in the first three rings.
" It will be hard for me to leave the office and you won't be able to come here we have to discuss it over calls only."
" Yeah i was thinking the same. Anyways I think just handing him over back to the cops might help ?"Liam suggested.
Ryan thought of going through the legal ways as well but that way he won't be able to take his revenge.
" I want to hurt him, I can't just let him go like that for whatever he did to her." Ryan seethed.
" I know I can't let that go as well but if we do something we will be caught and alreday cops are behind our backs."
" I have found that in one of his apartment he have Alexa's pucs tied to bed and all, You can go there and get those as proofs, after that Let's have a match with him. " Ryan said.
" Sounds good, send me the address of the apartment. " Liam said and ended the call.
