Chapter 32 Gunshots

Looking at Alexa Ace remembered his little sister again, so innocent, so oblivious to things around her, all that mattered to her was people around her to be safe and happy. He wanted to leave everything and spend time with her but he knows he can't do that, especially when she was his friend's girl. He wanted to protect her but he cannot. Ace nodded at the girl and called his right hand inside.
" Gather, 400 men we are leaving for California. "
" Yes, boss."
" We ? You won't leave me alone here, will you ?"
" No, I gave my word to Ryan that I will protect you and I intend to keep my promise, hence you will come with me."
" Yess !! I just need to use the restroom then we can go !!" Alexa jumped and turned to the far end of the room, where she guessed the restroom might be and ran towards the door. Ace looked at her how happy she became all of a sudden. He smiled at her childish behavior while shaking his head.

Jhon was in the dark corner in his office. He was excited because today all his revenge is going to be fulfilled.  He will kill, Charles and his little supporters Ryan and Liam. Then he will have all the power he needed. He will take over the American mafia and rule the whole damn continent. His father's death wish will be fulfilled soon. He knew Ryan will Run to safe her brother, and leaving Alexa with Ace where she will be under high security. But little did he know that Jhon had planned for every small detail. He infested the mob with his men which were now on move to bring her back. Now final touch to his plan he will kill each one of them himself and make Alexandrina his, forever. For him Alexa was just a way to get his revenge but whe he spent time with her, he knew she was made for him. No matter what happens in the end he will always get her. He made a promise to himself that he won't hurt her but just a little bit won't matter much, he thought. He wanted to own her, make her his girl. He was obsessed with her.

Alexa and Ace made their way to Airport. Alexa was sitting in the backseat practically jumping in excitement and fear about what is happening to Ryan and Roman. Ace saw as the girl in the back seat kept looking at her wrist watch and after that outside every now and then. He was distracted by a phone call from Ryan himself, just the guy he wanted to talk to.
" Ace ?"
" Yes."
" Jhon he is in the town, in New York. He is the boss of that mob."
" Yes, i figured that, we are coming to help you there. "
" No,Liam is not here. Jhon took him to New York. We are coming there, keep Alexa safe. Don't let her alone anywhere."
" Okay. "
" We are coming back untill then keep her safe." Ryan sounded frantic.
" I have given you my word. Don't worry." Ace said after which he ended the call.
" Turn the car, we are going to the warehouse. " Ace said coldly.
" What ? Why ? I thought we were going to help Ryan ?!" Alexa asked with tears in her eyes.
" Yes, now i changed my mind. I have some other things we need to take care of. They are fine and coming back."
" What ?" Alexa was more confused then anything now.
As they Reached the warehouse located in the dark side of New York where Alexa was warned by Alina not to go.
" Stick close to me, And don't talk to anyone except me."
They walked out and inside the old looking building. Alexa was so shocked to see the interior. It was beautiful inside with a large living room with lots of boys sitting on the couch Two of them, Playing video games, one was reading something.  seeing Ace They all got up and bowed their heads, all uttering 'Boss'
" Don't let anyone come in unless its maddog and his leash guy. "
" Hey, They have names." Alexa said with frown on her head.
On hearing her voice, each and every pair of eyes in the room turned to her. Her eyes widened and looking down suddenly finding the floor more Intresting.
" Eyes down. " Ace said in cold eyes. Alexa winced at his voice she was not used.
" Let's go." Ace said softly to Alexa as he held her hand and guided her up to one of the guest rooms on his floor of the building.
" You can rest here. Do you want to change ? I can have someone bring change of cloths for you, if you want." Ace said leaning to the wall as Alexa explored the room.
" Yes, please thank you. But my size ?"
" Ohh, i am sure one of my men have a sister almost like your size "
" Ohh. You are good."
Ace raised his eyes at her comment.
" Well, usually mafia men are big bad boys " Alexa said making air quotes.
" Yes. I am big bad mafia. But not for innocent souls. "
" Huh ?"
" Don't stress your little brain and rest for sometime. I will send Ryan as soon as he comes." Alexa nodded.
" I am not little." Alexa said with a frown.
" Sure, little one." Ace said walking away from her room.

Ace walked to his room to freshen himself.

After few hours he walked to his office room and he immediately texted Ryan.

where are you ?

On my way.

What is going on ?

The kid, her brother he is with him. He wanted to kill me and Roman but we got out.

come to the warehouse.

Alexa ?

she is resting.

I'll be there in 20 minutes.

Ace was having a bad feeling all day today. After a while he heard gunshots. Ace ran from his office outside and saw few of his men taking cover behind the pillars. He immediately ran to Alexa's room only to see her sleep peacefully below the cover  he closed the door he thanked the devil that he put her in soundproof room. After that he pulled the gun from his waistband and joined his men.
" Sir, you should be upstairs in your office. " His second in command said.
" I won't let my men die. Now what the actual fuck is going on here ?" Ace said shooting at the goons outside the warehouse in the lawn. It was hard to spot them in the tall grass lands.
Ace was not sure who this men were but he swore to himself that he will kill each and every single one of them. This will end today, he thought.
