It was nighttime now, Rengoku had been sleeping with a fever almost the whole day since Akaza came. The upper moon was surprised how easily Rengoku let down his guard considering they were fated enemies. However... it's not like Rengoku had much of a choice. He was gravely injured after all.

Akaza couldn't lie that he felt a tad pit responsible for the pillar's terrible condition. But he's a demon right? Those feelings of guilt shouldn't be a thing at all.

Maybe Akaza was just attracted to Kyojuro's strength? Maybe that's why he felt so bad... at least Akaza hoped that was all it was. After all 'that man' would punish him gravely if he were to find out what he was doing.

The upper moon sighed while lying on the floor with all his limbs outstretched "hmmm wake up Kyojurooo~ I've been waiting here for ages" Akaza started to rub his short pink hair tiresomely, looking at the dimly lit cloudy moon outside the window.

Akaza looked back at the slumbering pillar, his cheeks were slightly less red signifying his temperature had gone down, the demon felt relieved.

Standing up, Akaza decided it was about time for him to take his leave now that Kyojuro's fever had lessened. "I'll see you tomorrow Kyojuro" he whispered and pulled back the window, setting one foot outside before a voice stopped him.

"You're leaving finally"

The voice belonged to Kyojuro Rengoku.

Akaza whipped his head back around, their eyes making contact instantly as Rengoku forced his upper body to sit up. "You were awake the whole time?" The demon deadpanned, rolling his eyes with annoyance.

"Why didn't you kill me?" The male narrowed his dulled eyes, expression plastered with both curiosity and intellect. Akaza stepped back inside and closed the window "why should I? Do you want me to kill you or something?"

"You had every chance to... yet you didn't. Answer my question demon." Rengoku demanded, his stare never faltering. Akaza held their prolonged gaze before partially giving up with a loud sigh "my name is Akaza."

"You are a demon, undeserving of a name"

Akaza felt a little offended by the spiteful remark, Rengoku internally panicked a little as Akaza narrowed his glowing eyes and briskly walked to the side of his bed "Akaza is a name you shall remember Kyojuro. Now don't forget in the blink of an eye your head could be on the other side of this room... watch yourself" He spat, grabbing Rengoku's face in his hand.

The pillar yanked his head away from the demon's strong grip, rubbing his slightly swollen cheeks with a frown. "I won't listen to someone like you - what gives you the right to order me around?"

Akaza groaned and took a step back, sitting cross legged on the floor out of boredom "Hmm let's see... maybe the fact you can hardly walk? And I wonder who was to cause...?"

Rengoku eyed the demon, not giving a response out of spite; his extravagant brows furrowed "that's right me. I let you live Kyojuro, you owe your life to me"

"I owe you nothing... we are enemies and always will be"

"So stubborn... well if you don't want me here I guess I'll take my leave" Akaza huffed and slid open the window once again, leaving without another word to the pillar into the chilling night.

Kyojuro was allowed outside now. He had been given a temporary wooden, carved walking stick in order to support him while standing. That way he could get around a little easier.
