The sun bloomed on the horizon, golden petals stretching ever outwards into the rich mass of blue which was the morning sky. The sunrise came as if it had missed the sky and wanted nothing more than to warm up those blues to a radiant gold; setting of birds chirping and insects calling in the dew.

As beautiful as it all was, the sunrise was a nightmare for a demon.

By the time Akaza had carried Rengoku back to the butterfly mansion, stabilised his temperature and the bleeding injury; he had lost track of the time.

Just as the demon was about the leave, he looked outside to see the sun already on due corse of spreading its rays over the whole mansion and it's garden. It was impossible for a demon to escape...

Akaza was stuck.

What a stupid mistake he had done. If only he weren't so foolish! Why had he gotten so engrossed in making sure this demon slayer was ok anyways! Heck they were supposed to kill each other, not look after one another!

So frustrated with his own actions, Akaza sunk to the shadowed corner of the room and hung his head in - between his knees in defeat; teeth gritted in anger.

Some workers of the mansion were sure to turn up soon... and Kyojuro was still passed out. Akaza had to make some quick decisions.

He couldn't leave the room, let alone escape this building. So all he has to do is survive this day in a suitable hiding spot. Thats not so hard right...? As long as no hashira turn up that is otherwise they would surely sense him.

Akaza's glowing eyes darted around the room as he kept an ear out for potential footsteps coming to Kyojuro's door, desperately searching for an appropriate hidden place.

There was nothing.

'Absolutely fucking nothing! Great!' The upper moon raged to himself in a panic. After all it was a medical room meant for the recovery of patients so there really wasn't any furniture besides Rengoku's bed... 'that's it!'

Akaza silently cheered to himself in delight, choosing to stay in the rather uncomfortable but only option of under the bed - and just in time it seemed as well; Akaza could hear someone coming closer to the room. Their steps were fast but light footed, an elegant stride giving the hint they were a female.

He quickly darted underneath the mattress, staying as still as possible while holding his breath as the door slowly creaked open.

"Ara ara~ Kyojuro good morning!"

'Shit! She's a hashira! I'll try to mask my presence...' Akaza closed his eyes and focused on the technique he taught himself to become almost undetectable by a demon slayer's amazing senses. It was surprising how often it came in handy really.

Shinobu hummed when the pillar made no response and hovered over to him, pressing her delicate palm on his forehead "Hmm... your temperature is fairly normal" she spoke to herself aloud, casually checking him over.

Deciding he should be fine, Shinobu placed his medicine on his bedside table for him to take when he woke up and left without a worry.

Once the door had closed, the demon nervously let out a strained sigh and groaned "kyojuro... wake up and get me out of this mess!" He whisper yelled in desperation while peaking his head out from under the bed to look at the pillar.

On the bright side Rengoku looked stable again. Akaza decided he should probably drink a little less of his blood next time to prevent him from getting faint - though it was already hard for him.
