2427 ᴡᴏʀᴅs.Ubuyashiki started absentmindedly at the sky, cold air gently lapping at his face as Kyojuro's crow sat silently by his bent knees. Even though his vision was as good as gone, Kagaya could sense the shift in the temperature telling that the sun was beginning to hide. He didn't need eyes to understand the day was over.
He also didn't need to see Rengoku face to face, in order to asses the situation and piece together the interesting story unravelling at his feet.
A demon and a human, well, now demon and demon. But still, the companionship was completely unknown. Sure it had been done by Tanjiro and Nezuko, but this bond was different.
Ubuyashiki was utterly bewitched by how it had all played out. He could tell Kyojuro was seeing the demon during his recovery, it was obvious to anyone with a brain - but the master didn't expect the two to take things quite this far.
Months ago, if he had to guess, Kagaya would've thought they would get mildly intimate but part ways soon after. However, as Rengoku became less and less dedicated to his duties in the demon slayer core, he knew the young flame hashira had made his decision - even if he did it subconsciously.
Breathing deeply, Kagaya let his pale skin soak up the last weak rays of sun on his beloved child's behalf. He'd bask in the sun in regards for Kyojuro who would no longer be able to do so. It was a small price to pay for such a unique partnership.
If he could, Ubuyashiki would've given his blessing. But it would be impossible, he knew Rengoku would be berated by the other hashira, and almost inevitably sentenced to death by seppuku.
So, Kagaya was content with this final message delivered by crow.
Even if he wanted to find them, Kyojuro was sure to be hiding away with his lover somewhere completely untraceable. But in respect to his child, Ubuyashiki would leave them be; they deserved it, after all. As reward for going through so much, supplied by Tanjiro who had informed him of the whole mess with upper moon two.
"Is he really never gunna come back?" A small boy with fiery, de-shuffled hair asked mellowly.
The master stared blindly into the sky, a soft and genuine smile playing at his thin lips. His hair gently fanned across the pale and gaunt looking skin of his grey neck - he truly looked closer to death than ever before.
"I'm afraid so, however I assure you, he will be fine"
Senjuro felt his chest swell with emotion, his head going light and eyes burning painfully. His body lurched forward, head pressed into the polished wooden floor in despair; sobs emaciating into the peaceful silence.
"Oh Kyojuro- brother..."

."Hey, hey - Akaza pst!" Kyojuro whisper yelled, his one black eye seeing perfectly in the darkness. The surroundings which used to be un-viewable to the human eye now enlightened in the darkness, almost attaining a dreary green light.
The upper moon hummed a silent answer and slowed his pace to allow Rengoku to hold onto the tassels of his trousers for reassurance.
"Everything alright Kyo?"
The new demon looked around wearily, long, curly air gently fanning over his back in the nightly breeze. "I don't want to watch, I'll stay outside" he said slowly, claws brushing the small of Akaza's back.
"You won't even try a little? If I kill them and not you? Technically you wouldn't be hurting anyone" Akaza mumbled, his pale skin glowing gently in the honey-like light as they reached a silent village - every human in a deep sleep by now.
