'My sweet Koyuki... I'll protect you I swear it'

Flowers, beatings and peace. Tattoos a memorial of justice, an unfair justice system.
Her faded snowflake Haori gently swaying in a honeycomb breeze, golden sun showering scarred skin.

'There's no need to fret my love. I'll be right here when you return'

Eyes shaped like the purest of white flowers, body so frail like the leaves of a dying tree. Her smile life-giving and meaningful.
Snow gently falls from the greyed sky, her spirit inhabiting each precious flake which was destined to melt and wither away.

'Why are you so... weak?'

Crimson stained floorboards, death heavy in ones lungs; snow longer fell in his world.
Unimaginable rage consumed his humanity like a hungry beast, fists dripping with much needed revenge.

'I failed. I couldn't protect you Koyuki, I failed you'

Memories melting away, slipping though fingers like liquid. The lust for strength grows, with it brings the hatred of the weak.

'What have you done my love?... what have you done to yourself while I was gone?'

Unfamiliar faces, taunting and barking muffled commands.

'Look after him my love...'

A new weakness takes hold of his body, someone slipping through the cracks of his protective wall.
A new person to protect brings with it anguish.

'I'm done with protecting the weak Koyuki. Look how it turned out the first time'

Hatred swells once more. An old wound broken open with the urge to protect, fresh blood seeps from the cut... drowning.
Drowning in sorrow, the fear of failure tied to an empty heart.

'You cannot ignore him. Move on my love, things will be different'

Denial, the building of new walls to ones detached soul - blissful ignorance.

'But I cannot protect him. I could not protect you'

Fire engulfs him. Burning painful and harsh - it hurts to touch. A agonising love not much different from before.

'Forget about me Hakuji. Do not repeat the past'

A flame cape flares in the distance, watery moonlight showering mortal skin. Weakness is hidden behind a smile filled with sunshine.

'Set your heart ablaze'

Akaza gasped and snapped awake, his heart thumping loudly. He didn't know where he was, he didn't recognise the room till everything snapped.

He fell asleep. In the springs that is... if so how did he get back in Kyojuro's room; let alone in dry and in Rengoku's clothes. 'Hah... I must've been sleeping deeply' he rubbed his forehead, fingers running through his slightly damn hair.

The demon looked down to see he was tucked snugly in Rengoku's own bed, the night still dark.

'Where's Kyojuro?' He wondered, pushing the blankets aside while tiredly rubbing his eyes. Suddenly he felt pressure on his waist, alarmed the upper moon looked down to see Kyojuro snuggled into his side - the pillar's arms wrapped around his waist.
