Chapter 22: Devil May Cry: Wiz's Awakening (Y/n Chapter)

" This indent. There is an inscription carved on it. " Credo said as he inspected the indent. The others then went to inspect the inscription:

" He who desires the power of the Lightning Witch, come forward. Challenge her and emerge victorious, attaining great power! "

" We should be careful with this. Some bitch is trying to lure us one by one. " Griffon said as an undead suddenly rose up and scared Shadow who was patrolling the cave's entrance. The result was...the undead skeleton that scared Shadow got torn apart while Wiz sighed. " Past this cave is a trap, those in there will be only facing the demon alone. " Credo said as ' Sparda ' sighed. " You have to do it Y/n. Griffon, Shadow, and Nightmare counts as you since you can summon them at will. " he said as Y/n nodded.

" Alright. I'll go in then. " he said as Shadow and Griffon disappeared and became tattoos. " By the way, hold on to this. " he said as he threw his cane lightly to Credo. " What the? Why? " Credo asked as Wiz realized Y/n's plan. " Let me. " Wiz said as she grabbed the cane.

Approaching the indent, Y/n placed his hand on the handprint and suddenly, the cave was sealed shut as everything shook. A cavern wall was now opened and Abyss Demons appeared. " Looks like we have company. " he said as he summoned Mirage Edge. ' You sure you don't need Sparda kiddo? You might need that or the Deviljho Dual blades. ' Griffon said. ' You know, I wanted to replace Wrathful Predation since it's useless without blood. Too bad I don't have Agni and Rudra. I don't want to go in a blood rage. ' Y/n replied telepathically to Griffon as the demons finally attacked.

Several Abyss Demons threw their scythe blades to attack the trio as they dodged away from it. " Scatter! " Credo commanded as the trio separated ways to attack the Abyss demons. Credo charged at five of them in his normal form as he clashed blades with the demons. Two of the enemies attacked simultaneously as Credo transformed and shielded their attacks. Throwing them off, he attempted to slash one of them in half. The Abyss had landed safely on its feet and charged also to attack Credo.

The scythes were deflected as the target was completely killed and split in half. Credo then threw a Summoned Spear to keep the former's partner in place. " Stay put. " he said coldly as he faced the other three Abyss demons.
Wiz on the other hand was handling two Abyss demons, both of them forcing to make Wiz dodge and stop casting completely. Seeing Griffon resting on top of a rock, she called him and Griffon jolted awake and let out bullets of electricity in his wake all over the place which hit the Abyss Demons and they focused on Griffon who flew around.

" Hah! You can't catch me you dumb fucks! You will never get Chad McThunderco- "

Griffon uttered the ' that nickname ' in a low tone as the same two Abyss demons jumped in front of him. Sighing, he stopped and then used Round Robin to explode a field of electricity around him which made the foes get thrown back to the walls. They fell down as Wiz casted Cursed Crystal Prison to encase them in ice and sighed in relief. "  Welp! Time to see how Y/n and Credo is doi- "

Gruffon was cut off as he saw Y/n, Credo, and Shadow fight the 15 Abyss Demons each as Griffon looked in disdain. ' Okay, are they playing in Legendary Dark Knight Mode?! ' Griffon shouted in his mind as he flied somewhere hidden. " Okay Wiz, we can help. See those mooks spawning there? I think that's their area in where they spawn. Now, all you need to do is to cast your ice magic on that wall as I distract them. More or less, I"m gonna get beaten and turned to a core but that's a sacrifice I'm going to make. " Griffon said as he flew towards the demons and provoked them by attacking with electric bullets.

" Hey slowpokes! Get shocked by my electrifying performance! " Griffon said as he used Blockade to anger them more as they got hit. They chased Griffon around and ignored Wiz who was almost ready to cast a spell again. Casting the same spell she used on the frozen Abyss demons, she sealed off the spawning area of the Abyss Demons.
