TW: Mentions of kidnapping, contortion and past abuse (AKA I give another OC some trauma to make it ✨spicy ✨)
"I'll bet he's worth investigating," Y/N muttered to her friends as they eyed William who still had his back turned to them.
"Yes, undoubtedly. Sebastian." Ciel gave his butler the order before Dagger threw an arm around the Earl.
"'Eeeey! What ye doin' Smile? Ye gotta practice, practice, so ye don't lose out to Black 'n Shatter!" Clamored Dagger as he began to drag Ciel away by the neck.
"R-right..." Sighed the Earl.
"I'll teach ye the art o' knife throwin'!" Dagger exclaimed as he dragged Ciel away from his servants.
"As you wish," Sebastian muttered.
"Guess we need to get to investigating," Y/N sighed. "You go after the old eyesore, I'll watch the kid."
"Right then." Sebastian nodded before turning to follow after Spears. The reaper had made his way to the latter that led up to the tightrope and was about to start his climb up before Sebastian stopped him. Y/N couldn't hear what they were saying but she knew the reaper would be agitated enough with the simple fact that Sebastian was talking to him so he might let something slip. Y/N had learned that people tended to do something like that when they got flustered or aggravated. When she noticed that Sebastian had latched onto William's arm so he might drag him outside, Y/N returned her attention over to Ciel. It appeared the Earl and Dagger had also been watching the demon and reaper, however Dagger seemed to have completely misinterpreted the scene and thought they two were getting friendly. Y/N couldn't help but chuckle at the thought of Sebastian and Spears actually being friends.
Within a couple of minutes Sebastian had managed to convince William that they should take their quarrel outside the training tent and Y/N had gone back to watching over Ciel. Dagger wouldn't hurt him, Y/N was certain of that, however... She knew what the circus troupe's first-string members did on the side, and that caused her trust in Dagger's intentions to waiver. Y/N continued to twist herself into the most uncomfortable, unnatural positions while she waited for her chance to join Sebastian outside the tent. Dagger had begun to show Ciel the proper form for knife throwing and all sorts of small beginner tips and tricks before he seemed to notice Y/N's gaze boring holes into back of his head. Even when the performer repositioned himself so he could keep an eye on Y/N, her own glare didn't waiver. She wouldn't take her eyes off of Ciel for much more than a few seconds when she had to move her head around to mold herself into a new position. Eventually it seemed to have become a battle of wills: who would look away for the longest first?
Y/N won, Dagger eventually got himself sidetracked when he finally took notice of Sebastian and William's absence. "'Eeey, where's Black n' Suit?" He asked the other trainees. A few looked around and shrugged before returning to their own practices.
"I think I saw where they went," Ciel said. He was looking for any excuse to get out of Dagger's care.
"So did I." Y/N nodded over to Ciel before telling Dagger they would go get them. With that, the two exited the tent and began their search for Sebastian and Will. It didn't take them very long to find the two missing performers, their petty argument and the clamoring of Spear's scythe could be heard from a ways away. "Oi!" Y/N called out to them as Sebastian snatched his top-hat off of the claw of Will's scythe.
"That nosy knife thrower is looking for you," Ciel told them.
"He doesn't seem all that high-quality to me..." William sneered as he adjusted his glasses. "I truly don't understand you devils... The madam is worth significantly more." Y/N scoffed in disgust. He sounded like he wanted nothing more than to dissect her right then and there.
