Soma was running towards Ciel like he was the finish line and Soma was in first place. There would be no out running this Prince, especially not with how small Ciel was. Suddenly, as the Earl's eyes went wide with realization, he dissolved into a hacking fit. Everyone froze in fear as the Earl began to cough. Soma dropped down to his knees, leaning over Ciel and asking him, "Ciel, are you alright? Is it another attack agai-"'Crack'. That was the sound Soma's egg made as Ciel swatted it out of the Prince's ladle and onto the floor. Yellow and clear egg and yolk seeped out of the cracked shell onto the floor as everyone just stared at it. Eventually Soma let out a defeated cry as he bent over his broken egg, Ciel standing above him, completely fine and laughing with evil joy. "Fools!" Ciel cackled. "I can't believe you fell for that!"
"Ciel!" Soma sobbed from over his egg.
"I'll do whatever it takes to win," Ciel huffed with a cocky smile. But that smile was instantly wiped off his face as Soma, Agni and Y/N all threw their arms around the Earl, all sobbing.
"I'm so glad! I was worried you were sick again!" Wailed the Prince.
"Lord Ciel! I am so relieved you are well!" Agni blubbered.
"Don't ever do that again, you little twat!" Y/N cried, knowing damn well Ciel would absolutely do that again if he felt like it.
"Oh dear, oh dear," Sebastian hummed as he watched from afar, very much amused with the situation.
"Soma and Agni's team drops out!" Y/N tearfully announced as Ciel squirmed in her hold.
When Ciel finally managed to untangle himself from the monster hug he was wrapped up in, he, Sebastian and Y/N left Agni and his Prince behind in search of Lizzie's special egg. The two Indian men waved their friends off, Ciel very red faced, Sebastian trying to hold in his laughter, and Y/N waving back with a smile.
"Young Master," Sebastian finally managed to say as he opened the door to the ballroom. "How did their reaction to your most ungentlemanly act make you feel?"
"Hold your tongue!" Ciel shouted with the mentality of an angry cat.
"Is this the last place to check for the egg?" Y/N asked as she leaned on the doorway, letting the Earl and butler do all the hard work.
"No, but this game is just as much about luck as it is about knowing the players," Ciel muttered as he looked around the room. "And knowing Lizzie, she wouldn't hide it in such an extremely troublesome place..."
"Young Master," Sebastian spoke up, looking at the chandelier. "You have guessed wrong."
"Eh?" Ciel didn't believe his butler, but when he followed the demon's line of sight, his mouth fell agape. "What?" Ciel sputtered. Hidden on one of the chandelier's many candle fixtures, high above the ground, was the ribbon-wrapped egg Lizzie had specially made. "How on Earth did she get it up there?"
"Knowing Lady Elizabeth, I would say..." Sebastian thought for a moment, trying to envision the small young Lady flipping and twirling through the air to place the egg on the fixture.
"And not a single scuff mark on the wall, or the floor," Y/N hummed as she too envisioned Lizzie's impressive feat.
"Just bring it down to me already!" Ciel huffed.
"Should I?" Challenged Sebastian. "Would the victory not mean more if you were to retrieve the egg yourself?"
Ciel looked back up at the egg. It was so high off of the ground, and the chandelier would be incredibly difficult to keep steady... "Well... Fine..." Ciel caved. "Get me a stepladder."
