Late night talks [F]

-how I picture nat helping you when you have a hard time sleeping-

Y/n's Pov
I was sat in my office laptop being the only source of light on the floor. I had a now cold cup of coffee sitting beside me on a coaster Tony got me for my birthday its grey and says Hello in cursive nothing fancy the way I like it.

I got up from my place at my desk and I grabbed the cold mug. I walked to the kitchen not worried about anyone else being up, nobody usually was up.

I leaned on the counter while I waited for the water to boil, I checked the time and sighed when I saw it was only 2 am

"Hey stranger" I heard a raspy voice greet I looked up to see Natasha staring at me with her green eyes that stood out along with her other features.

"Hi Nat" I greeted back offering a small smile to which she returned.

"What are you doing up?" She questioned pushing herself off the doorframe she had been leaning on.

"I could ask you the same thing Miss Romanoff," I said matching her tone.

"I asked you first" She resorted making me sigh.

"Insomnia" I stated she nodded in acknowledgement "I can't sleep" I shrugged

"Come on then," She said gently taking my hand and dragging me away.

"Where are we going?" I asked confusion lacing my tired voice.

"To my room, I'm gonna help you" Natasha stated leaving no room for argument.

Nat took me upstairs to her room. She sat me down on her bed and closed her door before climbing into her bed

Natasha's held me close and stroked my head her other hand was snaked around my waist making sure I wouldn't get up.

"Sleep," Natasha said softly making the tiredness set in completely. Within seconds I was fast asleep

-in the morning-

"Thank you," I said gratefully to the redhead who sat beside me.

"Anytime you can't sleep come to me," She said quietly so the others wouldn't hear.

After that night my visits to Natasha's room were so frequent she just made it permanent. She confessed her love for me after a long and hard mission.

And now we've been happily married for 2 years
