CHAPTER 27

A week later, Ma'am Tess already told me that I will be partnering up with Zach for the Math competition. I was surprise but I felt happy at the same time. We are actually reviewing already. We have this concentration a week before the competition.

After that day, when he held out his handkerchief for me the both of us well, not really close but we talk much more than before. Noong hapon na 'yon ay wala lang siyang sinabi. He just stood in front of me and just watch and listen to my cries. Pinahimaram niya sa akin ang panyo niya para mapunasan ko ang mga luha ko. And I am really thankful for that. He even drove me home even if I told him that I am already okay.

"Angiela..." Ma'am Tess called me.

I stood up then went to her.
"Yes Ma'am?"

She handed me the reviewers she printed. "Puntahan mo na si Zach sa room nila. Sa library na lang kayo mag review."

I bit my lip then sighed. Kinuha ko sa kaniya ang reviewer at saka lumabas na ng room dala-dala ang bag ko. I waved my hand to Rona and Sharmaine.

Hindi ko alam pero kinakabahan ako ngayon na pupunta sa kabilang section. I mean...I am sure that Brent and Angela will be there. Bakit ba naman kasi ako pa ang kailangan na tumawag kay Zach?

Huminga muna ako ng malalim bago tuluyang lumapit sa room nila. Their subject teacher is still not here at the moment. Sumilip ako mula sa may pinto at saka hinanap si Zach. Hindi ko masyadong makita 'yong mga tao sa loob dahil masyadong crowded.

"Uh excuse me..." I called the attention of the girl sitting right in front.

She looked at me then smiled. "Ano 'yon?"

I smiled at her. "Nandyan ba si Zach?"

"Si Zach?" She asked making me nod my head. "Wait lang ha?"

"Hoy! Nandiyan ba si Zach?!" The girl shouted. "May naghahanap sa kaniya."

I pursed myself as I waited for an answer. Hindi sinasadyang napatingin ako sa may likod na bahagi ng room. There I saw the man I've been trying to avoid for the last days and weeks.

Walang emosyon siyang nakatingin sa akin habang nakasandal sa pader. His hands are both on his pockets. Nakagat ko ang labi at saka nag iwas ng tingin.

I smiled when I saw Zach walking towards me holding his phone and earphones on his hands.

"Review," I simply said then waved the papers on my hand.

He nods his head then smiled. "Saan tayo?"

"Sa lib na lang daw sabi ni Ma'am," I said.

Naitikom ko ang labi ng maramdaman ang mga titig. Sobra ang pagpipigil na ginawa ko para sa sarili na lumingon sa kung sino man ang nakatingin sa akin ngayon. I tried so hard to not mind Brent's stares.

"Kuhanin ko lang gamit ko," Zach said then went back to his seat again.

I waited for him to finish fixing his things before leaving. I don't want to be rude by just leaving just like that.

"Let's go?" He asked.

I nod my head. Magkasabay kaming naglakad palayo ng room nila. Nang mga panahon na 'yon ay saka lang ako nakahinga ng maluwag. Saka lang muling unti unting humupa ang kaba na nararamdaman ko kanina habang nararamdaman ko ang mga titig ni Brent sa akin.

Gosh.

We settle ourselves in a one vacant table in the library. Zach and I decided to divide the topic between us so it will be a bit easy for us to review.
