"Ugh I don't wanna do this Y/NNNNN" Ian clings on your arm as he whines. 11:09 am and Akira, Ian, and you were at the lab studying together alongside a few of your other friends. "You're not even doing anything though." Takumi, who was another one of your friends, said to Ian. "Yeah but Y/Ns making me do work!" Ian, again whines. "Oh stop whining you little baby" Hiroko, who was also a part of your friend group, teased Ian. "Guys shouldn't we be studying right now?" You asked your friend group.
"NERD!!" Akira yells at you, and in return you roll your eyes. "This is sooo boring. Instead I have a much more interesting story to tell." Akira said as she leaned back on her chair. "What is it?" Takumi asked as he put his elbows on the table and rested his chin in his palm. "Well, yesterday while me and Y/N were working. Guess who came in??" Akira said excitedly. "Oh it's this." You rolled your eyes as you went back to studying. "Who?" Takumi, who was the only person interested in the story, asked. "Hawks! The number two hero Hawks!!" Akira squealed as she stomped her feet like a little child.
Apparently hearing the name 'Hawks' caught your other two friends' attention. "Woah woah. Wait what?" Hiroko asked. "Yeah whattt" Ian popped in. "Hmph, yeah he came into our bakery to see Y/n because apparently he and Y/n are friends?!?!" Akira turned to you. "Correction, he just walked into our bakery to buy cake and we're not friends." You said, not looking up from your book. "Oooo Y/N your friends with a pro hero? Why didn't you tell us?!?!" Takumi asked. "Guys again, we're not friends." You sighed as you looked up to see your friends looking at you. "Girl don't even if you're not friends why would he pick the cake you suggested OR why would he know your name OR OR-" "OKAY I GET IT" You cut off Akira. "But I'm just gonna say. We're not friends and never will be. Being friends with a pro hero would be hell. Imagine all the paparazzi, questions, camera, ew" You gagged at the thought. "Whatever you say~" Akira winked. You shot a glare at Akira and in return she pouted.
Another hour has passed and you guys finally finished.
"YAYAY!! IT'S FINALLY DONE. I CAN'T BELIEVE I SURVIVED THAT!" Ian shot up from his seat. "Guys should we go to the mall this weekend?" Hiroko suggested. "Ooo we definitely should" You replied. "Yess, let's do it!! Make sure you invite the others as well!!" Ian said. "Will do!" Hiroko gave a thumbs up.
"Well then guys. I should go back and get ready for work today." You sighed. "Oh right Y/N I forgot to tell you I can't make it to work today!!" Akira called out. "Aw why?" You asked her. "Ah well my moms working late and so is my dad sooo I have to take care of my little bro tonight." Akira replied. "Aww that sucks. Have fun." You let out a quiet sigh and waved. "Bye Y/n!" Your friends waved. "Bye guys!!" You waved back.
7:09 pm and you were working. Since Akira wasn't here today you were working with your other co-worker who from time to time takes over for Akira.
"One slice of red velvet cake, Yuu!" You said as you were pressing buttons on the cash register. "On it, Y/n!" He said as he packed a bag of cookies for another customer. Today was a bit busier than usual. It's like it's always busy when Akira isn't here.
7:45 pm, less and less customers until there was no one left. "Ugh finally I thought they wouldn't stop coming." Yuu, who was washing a few dishes, complained to you. "Honestly though, my throat hurts from asking for orders so much." You told Yuu as you were cleaning tables. Yuu just chuckled in return. Just as you said that you heard the bells jingle. You and Yuu both turned your attention to the door to see the same salted caramel cake man from yesterday.
"Oh it's you." You said bluntly. "Is that how you treat all your customers?" He walked closer to the cash register as he waited for you to make your way behind the counter. "Sorry. I didn't mean to say that out loud." You sighed as you dragged your tired body behind the counter. Yuu gave you a questionable look. "Since when did the number 2 come to this trashy bakery?" He asked as he had just finished washing the dishes. "Since yesterday." Hawks grinned at Yuu. "Enough chit chat. What do you want?" You asked with the most tired look on your face. "Should I have come earlier? You both look pretty drained?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. "Eh, it's pretty busy." Yuu shrugged. "So what do ya want to get, Hawks?" You asked. "Hm, I really liked the salted caramel yesterday. Got any other suggestions." He asked. "Well.. you should try the strawberry shortcake." You suggested. "Ooo the strawberry shortcakes are delicious!" Yuu popped in. "Well then, I'll take a slice of strawberry shortcake please." The bird man grinned. "One strawberry shortcake, coming right up!" You said in the most unenthusiastic tone.
8:15 pm, "Well then, I'll be off Y/n." Yuu said as he walked out the door. "Bye Yuu!" You waved at your co-worker. "So how long are you gonna be here?" You asked hawk as you finally finished cleaning the tables. "Well until you get off work." He grins. "That's gonna take another 15 minutes." You said. "I don't mind." He shaked his head as he smiled. "Suit yourself." You sighed.
