"I'm leaving this dump, ya filthy patsies!" I yelled out in the TV room. I love calling people patsies; it's such an underrated insult.
"Let me give you a hug, kiddo," Angella said emotionally. She hugged me so tightly something in my ribs popped. She was like an anaconda, suffocating its prey.
"Ow..." I groaned.
"Sorry, Clive," she replied with an embarrassed expression.
"See you, dude," Devon waved from the couch.
"Hey, don't be an idiot," Stella said with a tiny smile.
"Oh, I won't be! Just be sure to follow your own advice!" I exclaimed excitedly.
"Don't worry, I will," she replied with a chuckle.
I ran back to get my mother, who was reading some nonsense on Facebook, and told her I was ready. She stood up, and together we walked through the ward's hallways to freedom. I felt so rejuvenated at that moment; you have no idea.
As we were about to exit the ward, I shouted just to make a point one more time.
"I won't be missing you, Franklin Douglas!"
After all, why would you miss hell?
