Work, exams, future, we all worry. That’s perfectly okay, worrying is a part of human nature, but too much worrying leads to stress which is not good.
So, take a day off. A whole day, and for once, why not think about yourself?
Before you do anything, just wake up and think about your surroundings. The birds chirping outside, the rays of sunlight hitting you. It calms your mind. After all, what can a few more minutes in bed do, other than calm you?
Go outside after you’ve woken up and gotten ready for the day. Being cooped up in a house only stops you from being healthy and guess what? It also meddles with your sleep. A small walk around your surroundings can cheer you up enormously.
Listen to soothing music. Music will often calm you, especially ones which you can relate to. If you’re more of the dancing type, then dance around the house freely. It’s an enormous stress reliever.
Eat chocolate. Forget your diet for once, today is about you. Chocolate calms your nerves and dark chocolate helps relieve stress. (I totally didn’t make that up. STudies say so.)
Breathe. This is the most important of all. Breathing deeply will reduce your heart rate, helping you become calm and relaxed.
Goodbye for now,
Merrin.
