"Did you get the chance to take a shower yet, Gilda?" You asked, as you dried your arms after bathing the younger children.
She shook her head. "No, I'll do that once I help Emma with dressing them. Have you?"
You nodded. "It was nice and warm," you sighed, chuckling. "I didn't realize how tense I'd been until I relaxed."
Gilda smiled. "You've been working really hard recently Y/N. It's good to take a break once in a while. If you're not feeling up to it all the time, I can always cover for you."
"Thanks Gil," you grinned, laughing while she scolded you for using that 'horrible' nickname.
"Gilda and Y/N was it?"
Gilda jumped and turned around, while you quickly swiveled, being met with Krone's wide grin and eyes. You quickly caught yourself and smiled back, chuckling. "You scared us, sister Krone! Sneaking up on people is rude!"
"Ah, thank you for the manners lesson," she grinned, turning her head to look at Gilda, who smiled politely. "What're you two girls up to?"
"We were talking about relaxing," Gilda answered breezily. "Y/N rarely does it anymore."
Krone's eyes shifted to you very suddenly. You almost froze, which you shouldn't do with her gaze on your, strict, unmoving. You scratched the back of your head, awkwardly. "Ah, well, I'm one of the oldest here. And the other oldest kids- have you met them?"
Krone nodded. "Emma, Norman, and Ray?"
"Yes, them, well they're very smart. No, that's not even the best description... they're brilliant ! And I feel like I should be doing better, right? I never get perfect scores all the time like them, so I should work hard to do that! To be even better!"
Gilda pat your shoulder. "You're already great, Y/N." She turned to Sister Krone. "Y/N's actually really smart, she just underestimates herself."
"I wouldn't expect any less, from a top student; striving to be better, even still! I saw some of the highest grades when I came here, and you're fourth still, when it comes to test results. You only ever miss one or two!"
Highest grade, highest grade, highest grade.
"Ah, well I try. But I want to do better. I will! I'll get perfect on the next test, I will!"
Krone smiled.
"If you get to do it."
