"You're not acting shocked?" Ray whispered to you, once Emma said the truth to you, Don and Gilda. Norman looked over at you suspiciously. Or was it Ray he looked at? You weren't sure.
"Emma told me already."
"Huh? Just out of the blue?"
You used Gilda's crying as an excuse to jump from the ledge and over to her, comforting her with Emma.
"Let's escape from here and go help Conny and the others. Let's all run away from here together!"
Once everyone had left, you stayed behind, and went over to Ray and Norman.
"I know it's a lot Y/N," Norman tried to reassure. "But"-
"No, I know the truth."
"What?"
"Emma told me earlier." You lowered your voice. "I know they're not alive."
"Why did she tell you?" Ray asked again. "She shouldn't just be blurting that sort of thing out!"
"She's our age," Norman countered. "And she trusts us a lot. That must be why."
"No, it was impulse," you said. "I'm next."
The two froze.
"What?" Ray asked, this time. "What do you"-
"You know what I mean. Mama told me. I'm next to go."
"But I'm twelve first!"
"I'm 12 sooner than Norman and Emma. And stupid.
I have no chance."
