"How're you holding up Gilda?" you asked softly, as you sat down next to her. 

She smiled, shrugging. She looked sad. "A lot's happening. I want to be here for my family but at the same time I feel like I can't."

"Why not?" You asked, taking a bite of your food. She followed your example before speaking again. 

"I feel too upset. About leaving Phil, knowing the truth. And leaving everyone else. Who knows what will happen to them?" 

"They'll be perfectly fine," you said, patting her back. "No matter what, those kids are smart. They've learned from us to keep gaining knowledge, to never stop until they've read every book in the world. They're smart kids. I reviewed everything they'd need to know for the next two years as well, so they could be more confident too." 

"Woah, really? I had no idea... is that where you were when we trained everyone else?" 

You nodded. "It helped a lot too. I learned things while I taught them. Even if they don't remember everything alone, they'll be with each other to remind each other and keep studying, right? I'm not too worried of what will happen." 

"I feel bad about Phil though," Gilda frowned. "He's carrying a huge burden alone." 

"Yeah," you sighed shakily. "But he's strong. I hate to put him through it, but if anyone can, it's Phil. If Ray could, and if I could, I'm sure Phil can." 

"Y/N! Gilda!" Your heads shot up, and your heart stopped as you saw Don and the other children... going under? Were they being pulled? You got up to help, but realized the same was happening to you. 

The ground opened up and swallowed you all. 

You heard screeches, and yells for your name, calling for help. 

Pitch black. You were falling. 

You felt a hand reach out for you. You tried to grab onto it, but couldn't find it. 

You felt someone brush your leg. You were too numb to try and reach out again. 

You were falling again. A sense of deja vu. 

You bit your lip to stop yourself from calling for your mother.
