I got to Ella's house at about 4 and we all started decorating. Everyone started to show up at 6 and by 6:30 the party was completely going.

"Y'all it's my besties 18th!" Jake said as he brought me into a side hug and lifted his drink in the air. I laughed as I put my drink up as well and after we clinked them together I took a small sip.

Kyler walked into the kitchen after bumping into me and smiled at me. "Happy birthday Bri." I let off a half smile as I got butterflies in my stomach. This can't happen again.

I watched him walk towards the back door and towards the hot tub. I shook my head and brought the attention back to my friends.

"So Bri, how's it feel to be 18?" Annabelle asked as I shook my head. I took a big sip of my drink before answering.

"Fucking fantastic." I said as my head started to hurt. "Ella do you have any Tylenol?"

"Oh no, we just ran out the other day." She said as my vision started to get cloudy. I motioned to the door and started walking outside. I stumbled into a hard body as I looked up at Kyler

"Woah don't fall into the pool now." He said as he smiled. "We wouldn't want that."

"Did you drug my drink." I said as I put my hand on my head.

"No, I would never. Here let's bring you upstairs so you can lay down." He said as he walked inside. I followed him all the way to the stairs when something clicked in my head once again. But this time it was images in my head. From a previous party when I was drunk.

"Hell no." I said as I started to walk away. He grabbed my arm tightly as he tried to pull me upstairs. "Kyler let go." I screeched as I yanked my arm out and noticed everyone was staring at me.

Humiliated and flustered, I walked outside and left Ella's house.

Why did I always embarrass myself? Why was Kyler always there? Why can't I just be happy with Kyler? Why do I feel like this? I thought as I found myself at the bridge. I swung my feet over and sat on the railing as my mind did laps.

"Oh hey! I knew I'd find you here!" Axel said as he scared me. I didn't turn to look at him as I had my eyes set on the water below me. "Briella?"

"Can you go away for like, 5 minutes?" I said as I contemplated my life and the upcoming decision.

"Briella what's going on?" Axel said as he took a couple steps.

"I told you to go away." I said as I turned around saw how close he was. "I can't do it with you here."

"Please don't do what I think you're going to do." He said as he took a step backward.

"I was supposed to have fun at my birthday party. I got humiliated by my ex and I remembered things I don't think I was suppose to remember." I said as I felt a tear drop from my eye and I watched it fall until I couldn't see it anymore.

"Briella if you get down we can talk this through." He said as I shifted my weight.

"I'm sorry." I said as I looked below.

I tried to push myself off but failed as my feet got caught up and I tripped. As soon as my feet left the surface my arms started flailing.

I made a mistake. I didn't want this. I never wanted this. I screamed as my mind was hoping I would survive. I felt a hand clamp over mine and then pull me up.

As soon as I was over the railing I collapsed on the person and we fell to the ground. I sobbed as I grabbed his shirt.

"It's ok Bri. Let it out." I heard Axel say as he rubbed my back.
