Somewhere in the three minute drive home, I lost control of the vehicle. I started to cross the yellow so I tried to recorrect it, I then hydroplaned and flew off the road. I hit a ditch, flipped the car, and was so close to hitting a tree head on. Just like my brother.

I tried to move but the seat belt was tight against my chest. My heart was pounding and my head was pulsing. I realized it was really hard to breathe. I was having a panic attack.

I reached down to find the buckle for my seat belt but realized I was completely stuck. I was helpless. I was going to die the same way my brother did.

I screamed out for help as my glass was shattered but I didn't see anyone. I smacked the roof of the car as I continued to cry.

I saw a car start to come down the road from the opposite direction and quickly swerve over to the side where I was. Someone was going to save me from this mess.

I was still having my panic attack as a man around the age of thirty came up to my shattered out window.

"Are you ok?" He said as I tried to take a deep breath which came out as a wheeze. I shook my head as I looked at him.

"Please call for help. I need help." I said as I finally admitted it. Even if he thought I just needed help with the accident, I meant it as I needed actual help and a lot of it. I somehow realized, there are just some things you can't go through alone.

"My wife is on the phone with help, ok?" He said as I nodded my head. "What's your name?"

"Briella Hilm." I somehow said as he yelled my name back to his wife.

"How old are you?"

"I just turned eighteen." I said as my vision got spotty and I felt my head getting heavy.

"Hey no no no. Stay with me, ok?" He said as I closed my eyes and then slowly opened them again.

I heard the sirens in the distance as the man spoke up again.

"Those are for you, they're coming sweetie."

As they started to get closer I saw my phone screen start to light up and when I turned I saw that Axel was calling me. I felt sick to my stomach. He was fucking right, but it wasn't my dad that almost died. It was me. My second wish almost came true.

If my dad could leave this world, then I wanted to. I thought if I said it out loud it wouldn't come true. I was embarrassed, I made a big fuss over nothing. I didn't want to die.

As soon as the call ended I noticed that he started to call me again.

"Briella are you able to grab your phone? Someone keeps calling you." The man said as I shook my head.

"I can't move." I said as I tried to reach for my phone. I wanted to talk to Axel. I had to apologize, I need to get on medication so I don't freak out like that again. I need help.

My phone was also in the worst spot of the car, surrounded by glass. The man started to walk over to that side of the car but I told him to stop, that it wasn't worth it.

He grabbed the phone anyway as Axel was calling me for a third time.

"I don't want to talk to him." I said as he nodded his head and answered the phone as he walked away from the car. I could see the lights reflections off of the trees and I instantly felt relieved.

The man came back over as the lights got closer and closer.

"He said he's going to come right over. He got a bad feeling as soon as he heard the sirens." He said as I closed my eyes and cried. I cried cause of the pain, but also the fact that Axel still cared.
