Getting ready to head back to the tower felt bitter sweet, the compound was great and it meant I got to see all the other Avengers but the Stark Tower had been my home for a lot longer.

"Hey kiddo, ready to go?" Tony asked as he stood in the doorway of my room.

"Yeah, almost. I'll be out in a minute." I smiled.

He nodded before heading back down the hall, he offered to drive me home since dad left early to meet up with Sharon for breakfast.

As I stuffed my things in my bag I felt a familiar presence, this time I really did hear footsteps though.

"Yes?" I asked still packing my bag.

"I just wanted to come by to thank you." Loki said from behind me.

As I turned he stood just inside my doorway, his fancy God-like robes had been exchanged for a simple black suit.

His long hair softly curled at the ends still and slightly slicked back, his eyes set on mine as he waited for a response.

"No need, everyone deserves a second chance. Just don't let me down, okay?" I smiled before picking up my backpack.

"You know, you're very different to most of the humans I've met." He smirked as I walked towards him.

"How so?" I laughed.

"You're intriguing my dear, that's how you're different." He said before walking out of the room.

I swiftly followed but as I walked out the door he was gone, the feeling of his presence had gone once again leaving me a little disoriented.

Heading down to the building entrance I saw Tony waiting by his Lamborghini, I rolled my eyes at the flashy car and laughed knowing this wasn't going to be a simple drive home.

"Why do you have such flashy cars anyway?" I asked.

"I'm a billionaire, gotta do something with the money don't I?" He grinned.

"You just want to show off, that's what I think." I laughed getting in the passengers side.

He got in and started the car before tearing off down the driveway, I laughed as I felt my body being pushed back into the seat at the sudden speed.

The drive was nice as he took us all around New York, I knew he would never admit it but he wished he had kids, I was a great excuse for him to spoil someone rotten that wasn't Pepper.

"So, how you like you're new school?" He asked as the traffic got heavier.

"Yeah, few assholes but I guess that's the same with every school." I sighed.

"I heard, who was he anyway?" He asked.

"Some kid in a few of my classes, he thinks he's cool but he really isn't."

"The kid said you stood up for him, I'm pretty proud of you. Looks like you really do take after your old man, maybe a little too much sometimes." He sniggered.

"Nothing wrong with defending the ones you love and care about." I said leaning my head back in my seat.

"Love?" He asked.

"What?"

"Are you trying to tell me something right now?" He asked.

"What do you mean?" I asked looking over at him.

"Oh my God, do you like the kid?" He asked excited.

"What? No!" I protested.

"Oh, my God. I'm so telling your dad, he's going to flip." He teased.
