"I felt the earth beneath my feet.
Sat by the river and it made me complete."

Taking care of a telmarine seemed to be a pattern for the Narnians that lived under the tree stump. Trufflehunter would never admit that he liked it but part of him enjoyed taking care of them, he liked having them depend on him and keeping him busy.

The others were not as caring, dwarves are not known for being kind and loving creatures. They put up with a human in their home but it took a while, they were not too happy with another one. Not only had Trufflehunter dragged the boy inside their home but Trumpkin had been taken by the telmarines.

Thorndash headed through the woods early the next morning to check for any sign of Trumpkin. They were hoping that he may have escaped but there were too many soldiers and he wouldn't have had the chance to get away.

She was not in the best of spirits, Trumpkin had been arrested by the telmarines and she may never see him again. Plus, there was a stranger in her bed, someone that she didn't trust and she didn't want to go home to deal with his problems.

Trufflehunter was fussing over soup for the boy, having just changed the bandage on his head which covered the wound that Nikabrik had given to him when he knocked him out.

"This bread is so stale."

"I'll just give him some soup." Trufflehunter muttered to himself, busying himself in the kitchen to take his mind off the fact that his friend had been taken. "He should be coming around soon."

"I don't think I hit him hard enough." The dwarf frowned, shaking his head.

"Nikabrik, he's just a boy."

"He's a telmarine, not some lost puppy."

Trufflehunter narrowed his eyes warningly as he shook his paw in his direction. "May I remind you what our daughter is."

There was a harsh silence across the room as they processed what they were talking about. Neither of them had realised that the boy had woken up and was listening to their conversation from around the corner.

"You said you were gonna get rid of him!" Nikabrik snapped, trying to change the subject of the conversation.

"No, I said I'd take care of him. We can't kill him now; I just bandaged his head. It would be like murdering a guest."

"How do you think his friends are treating their guest?"

"Trumpkin knew what he was doing." The badger sighed to himself, defending their guest. "It's not the boy's fault."

Just before anyone could reply, the boy sprinted out of the bedroom and knocked Trufflehunter over which spilled the soup across the kitchen floor. His hand reached out for the door when it opened and a dagger was pointed directly at him. Stumbling back into the house, the boy picked up a metal rod from the fireplace and began duelling with the girl.
