TEN YEARS LATER

Narnia had been living in complete bliss for ten years. Not only was all evil banished but the people were all content in their lives. Crops had been growing steadily, voyages had been successful and the kingdom didn't have a reason to be sad. The Narnians were finally living the lives that they had been dreaming of and it wouldn't have been possible without such a positive royal couple.

When Caspian and Gwendolyn returned from Aslan's country with the news of their engagement, everyone had been delighted and the crew had sung merry songs on the entire voyage back home. When the couple arrived at the castle, their subjects organised several parties to celebrate their marriage and were more than happy with the choice of rulers.

The royal wedding had been perfect. Everyone from across Narnia had been invited to celebrate, everyone in their own ways. There had been parades, performances of plays and music playing into the early morning. Everyone had been pleased with the royal couple and couldn't have been happier to celebrate their union.

Caspian and Gwendolyn were more than in love, their marriage made things official but the political side of things never mattered. They were able to stand by each other through every hurdle, working their way through any argument and loving each other more and more every day.

Of course, the wedding had been organised by Trufflehunter, who faffed around the entire day and burst into tears when he watched his daughter walk down the aisle. Trumpkin had managed to smile at least twice that day but passed out before the night was over, from one too many beers.

Caspian had already been king before their wedding, they had a coronation for Gwen which was just as much as a celebration as their wedding. It included a parade where she walked through the streets of the kingdom and a feast to celebrate afterwards. Gwen almost couldn't believe that this was happening to her - she had grown up in a tree stump in the forest and now she was living in the castle.

Life was busy for the couple at first as they took their duties seriously. Caspian oversaw every decision that the kingdom made and took regular visits to the islands to ensure peace throughout Narnia. Gwen joined him on most of these as she was given control of the army, teaching new soldiers and making decisions for the good of their home. They were both happy.

Things changed when Gwen became pregnant. She was terrified, and didn't think that she should have a baby but Caspian reassured her that they would do this together - just like they had done everything else. Princess Lucy was born with hints of red hair and big brown eyes, she was perfect but quickly showed her personality.

Gwen had been worried that the kingdom wouldn't want a girl, that she would be expected to bear an heir but it was the opposite. Caspian felt the same way - their daughter would be queen of Narnia one day and she would do brilliantly. He was more than happy and more than in love with his daughter, noticing how much she resembled her mother.
