A True King

Nightmare pinpointed his brother's location easily. It seemed he was at the Council of AUs. The place they should be to make peace anyways... watched by hundreds of Sanses. Totally not intimidating. 'But I am the king, and it must be done... officially.' Nightmare reminded himself. "sidney.." He offered his hand to his wife who waved to the guys and Lilly. She then scurried to Nighty and took it. He pulled her close and they shared a kiss before he opened a portal to his brother's location. "let's end this war once and for all." Nightmare stated.

Even Sidney seemed intimidated by the number of Sanses at the council room. This table seated every Sans and Papyrus (or anyone in their roll) that was aware of the Multiverse. At the head was the Star Sanses, with Dream talking. Being the kind of king he was, Nightmare refused to interrupt. "i know it sounds bad, but i swear, he isn't the same as he was! nightmare doesn't want to take over the aus anymore. even if he did, he has no team to back him. my brother isn't a threat any longer." Dream tried to convince the council of Nightmare's change, but they weren't having it. "dream, as long as nightmare is free, he'll be a threat. sorry, but it's true." Sci disagreed to which there was a chorus of agreement. "blue and ink saw it too! he's different!" Stretch shook his head. "you let blue near that guy?!" Blue frowned. "I AM A STAR SANS TOO, BROTHER." Blue argued. "boys, boys let's not argue about that now! we were talking about nightma-" Nightmare's fists balled up at the overwhelming negativity. Sidney grabbed his hand. "if you have a problem with me, come deal with it. leave my brother out of it."

Everyone turned to Nightmare, who straightened himself out. "thank you for finally giving me your attention." Nightmare let his negativity drop back to his new normal levels. "nightmare! i wasn't expecting you to come here!" Dream ran over and the pair hugged it out. Everyone was slack jawed. "why are you here?" Ink asked as Dream pulled away with a curious expression. "i am here to end this war once and for all." Nightmare replied with a smirk. "oh?" Claasic, who was watching from his seat, finally piped up. He didn't sound suspicious, only curious. "how do you plan on doing that?" Sidney squeezed Nightmare's hand. "Peace treaty." She replied. Nightmare nodded. "yes. i am here to make peace with dream and make up for everything i've done through whatever means you deem necessary." Sidney frowned. "Night, no! You're NOT leaving me alone!" Nightmare sighed. "sidney, my love, i must make up for what i've done if i'm going to have a clear conscience."
"But-"
"even if it wasn't completely in my control." Sidney pouted. "don't be like that, queenie. i'll be back before you know it." Nightmare eased.

Classic made his decision. Only time would tell if it was right or wrong. "actually... you're not going anywhere." Everyone started to mutter and Nightmare focused on him with blueish purple eyelights. "whatever you plan on doing, just keep sidney safe." Classic quirked a brow and looked at the human. He really DID love her. Didn't he? "you will sit down in that chair right there and work out the terms of your treaty. a guard will be watching you for the first month. someone of my choice and if there's no mishaps, then you will be free to do what you please... so long as it's within the code of conduct. deal?" Nightmare nodded. "that sounds reasonable." The others complained, but Classic didn't care. He was the original, the final decision was always his. They would suck it up.
