January 16, 1989

Stevie slowly sunk down into their couch in the living room, both of her arms occupied by the sleeping babies. It had been an interesting trip home. They only had one car seat, and there was William's booster seat to deal with. Lindsey had an SUV that had three row seating. It was a luxury that they paid a lot of money for but now more than ever Stevie was grateful for it because they'd have to move William's seat to the back-back bench seat. Then the two captains chairs in the middle would have to be for the twins. Needless to say, Stevie held on to Luna for dear life as Lindsey drove them home, in the backseat with Stella who was able to be strapped into her seat after Lindsey removed William's booster.

"So now that we're home, are you going to continue breastfeeding or trying to transition them to the formula?" Lindsey asks sitting next to her. Lori and Chris were on their way with William and Stevie couldn't wait to introduce them.

"I think what I'm going to do is slowly transition them. So when do they eat now?" Stevie asks.

"You've kinda just been feeding on demand. We should get them into a schedule though." Lindsey nods.

"Alright so...every two hours was what we did with William right?"

"Until he was about four months old yeah." Lindsey nods.

"So, say I start the day at eight in the morning...I'll breast feed at eight. ten we'll bottle feed. Noon we'll bottle feed. two we'll bottle feed. four we'll bottle feed. six, bottle. eight bottle. ten breast. midnight through six in the morning we'll bottle feed." Stevie lists.

"As long as you keep it structured we'll be fine. But you're going to have to keep track of it, because my spouts are dry." Lindsey explains.

"Shut up." She rolls her eyes as they hear the front door open.

"Will's home." Lindsey smiles as the little boy comes running into the room.

Lindsey shifts so he can catch him in his arms, Chris goes over and kisses his sister's temple and Lori brings her hands up to her mouth and coos at the babies.

"Hey little man, did you have fun at Aunt Lori and Uncle Chris'?" Lindsey asks.

"Yeah, we watched toons and went to da park." William answers his father with child like excitement.

"That's so exciting. So William, look at momma." Lindsey states, crouching down to his level and pointing his mother out to him.

"What dat?" He asks pointing to the babies, running over to his mother and pressing against her knees to try and get a better glimpse. Stevie gently nudges him away with her knees and then she scoots forward on the couch and spreads her legs lightly. She was wearing a skirt, but it was long enough, not to show anything. William situates himself between his mother's knees and gazes on the two sleeping infants.

"So William. You know how you used to talk to my belly and say Hi to the baby that was in there?" She inquires.

"Mhm." He nods his head, his curls bouncing wildly.

"These are the babies that were in there, there were two of them." She explains.

"Ooh?" He was trying to say two but he was still working on his language.

"Yeah two of them." She nods.

"But mamas belly still big."

Stevie makes a face at that statement, because she knew, and she wasn't happy about the baby weight that was going to sit there on her until she was given the okay to start working out. "Lori, Chris, could one of you take one of the babies?"

Chris nudged his wife, knowing how much she really wanted to grab one of those babies and she immediately knelt down next to Stevie and William and took Stella into her arms.

"So William, look at Mom." She pulls his attention from the TV. Lindsey had turned some sports thing on and as soon as the noise reached William's ears, all of his attention was pulled from the babies in his mother' arms to their TV>

He looks at her, blue eyes meeting brown eyes. "Okay, so this one...that mama is holding, her name is Luna. Can you say Luna?"

"Luna?"

"Yeah this is Luna, she's your baby sister. And the one that Aunt Lori is holding is Stella. Can you say Stella?"

"Tella?"

"Yeah, Stella. Stella is also your baby sister." She tells him.

"So who I talk to?" He shrugged his shoulders and he looked so damn cute that Stevie couldn't help but kiss his head.

"Well you were talking to both of them. They were both in mom's belly." She smiles grabbing him with her free arm and hoisting him onto her lap.

"Oh." He states settling into her shoulder, peering at Luna.

"Would you like to hold Luna?" Stevie asks seeing his curiosity spiking.

"No thanks." He shakes his head.

"Are you sure bud?" Lindsey asks.

"No. Jus Wanna sit with mama." He replies burrowing further into her body, bringing his knees up so he was sitting on her a little bit more comfy.

"I have an idea." Stevie sighs rocking back and forth gently, her hand coming up to press his head to her neck.

"Wha?" William asks.

"Why don't you, mom, and Aunt Lori go to the store hmm?" She questions her head laying on top of his.

"An do what?" He inquires

"Well, we'd go get some cute little pajamas, dresses, and outfits for Luna and Stella." Stevie explains.

"Can you?" Lori asks looking at her.

"Lori I'm fine. I didn't get stitches this time. I could've come home on Wednesday of last week, but I wanted to stay until Luna was ready to go home. I'm fine. Quite frankly, I'm antsy." Stevie shakes her head, she was still cradling Luna and William and as much as she loved sitting in that situation, she needed to go out and do something, especially after having been cooped up in the hospital for so long.

"She has restrictions though." Lindsey points. Plopping into his chair.

"Oh?" Lori cocks an eyebrow.

"When you have a baby the placenta leaves a plate sized hole in your uterus. I had two babies and each of them had their own placentas so have of my uterus is pretty much wounded. I can go to the store, I can do housework but she doesn't want me chasing after Will, or doing anything too strenuous." Stevie rolls her eyes.

"Shopping isn't strenuous and if I go too, I can chase William around the stores." Lori shrugs.

"Exactly...and we can leave Uncle Chris and Daddy home with your sisters." Stevie looks at William.

"Okay." He nods.

"Great." Stevie kisses his head.
