January 10, 1989

Lindsey's snoring woke himself up and he jolted in the hospital provided cot. Stevie cocked an eyebrow at him seeing everything that was happening. "Do I usually snore?"

"Only if you sleep on your back. That's why I stopped sleeping on your chest and instead make you spoon with me." She explains.

"I thought that was just a pregnancy thing." He states,

"No, I was doing that long before I got pregnant with the twins."

"What are you looking at?" He questions. She was sitting on the bed slightly hanging off of the side her purse was splayed out in front of her.

"There's nothing...on any one of these scans that shows any indication of Tiny. Baby, yeah she's right front and center, but nothing to tell us about Tiny. If I had known, maybe I could've done something to keep her healthy." She sighs as Lindsey climbs off of the couch and goes over to the bed. She has all of her ultrasounds splayed out in front of her.

"Stevie, Tiny is our miracle baby. Maybe we weren't supposed to know about her and she wanted to surprise us. She'll probably surprise us her whole life."

"I want to hold her so badly."

"I can page the nurse and see if you can do skin to skin."

"Would you, that would be great." Stevie says going over to the chair that was still by the NICU cot. Baby was sleeping peacefully in her little crib next to the bed and Lindsey after pressing the call button took the liberty of plucking her up and cradling her close.

"That's what was different." Lindsey says when he gets closer to her.

"Hmm?"

"You kept saying you felt different. You were probably feeling different because of Tiny."

"Yeah, most likely." Stevie nods placing her hands into the little arm holes so she could touch her little head and butt. It had been a couple of minutes since the call button was hit and usually, with Stevie being the patient, it was in a matter seconds when someone would run in to assist her majesty but so far no one was coming. Not thinking much of it,  Stevie just looked at Tiny and stroked her little head and then the little baby sneezed.

"Oh bless you sweet girl." When Stevie spoke to her, the baby started wiggling around and then she started to cry. It was loud and wheezy but it was strong and Stevie started getting the itch. The itch of needing to grab her child.

"Oh, Lindsey call them again." Stevie urges wanting to pick her baby up and sooth her.

So Lindsey does and after five minutes, with still no one coming into their room, Stevie bites her lip and pulls her hands out of the little incubator. She had tried to soothe her by rubbing her head and her butt, but it didn't work.  She opens up the little Lid like she's watch the nurse do and she quickly, but carefully swooped her up in her arms and cradled her close.

"You're okay, you're okay." She rocks back and forth as the baby settles in her arms. That was when the nurse decided she was going to come in.

"Your majesty you can't."

"NO! If my baby is crying, I'm going to pick her up. She was crying for seven minutes and no one came so I did it myself."

"You could've pulled her IV out or her oxygen."

"I Don't Give A Shit." Stevie growls, her mama lion instincts kicking in immensely. Still cradling her baby closely. The preemie having settled almost instanteously in her arms and was nuzzling into her.

"I understand you are the queen, but this is my jurisdiction. You are NOT allowed to pick up the child out of the incubator. Only a licensed medical professional is." The nurse scolds.

"Understand this. YOU ARE FIRED. My husband pressed that call button twice. Twice. We waited for you for about twelve minutes. My baby was crying and screaming and I couldn't fight it anymore. When you are assigned to me or a member of the royal family as our nurse, you, by the employment handbook of this hospital are required to devout your WHOLE attention to me and my family. So while my baby was crying for twelve minutes you were off doing god knows what and your boss WILL be hearing from me. Now get out and get Dr. Cragen to get me another nurse. And if I find out that you blabbed that we are here, I will have you sued." She bites.

Lindsey just smirks on the whole time as the nurse pales immensely. She had just been scolded by the queen and she was a member of the kingdom and anyone in that position would freak out. But at the same time, the nurse was being kind of rude about the whole situation. The poor woman slinks out of the room

"I love you." Lindsey states once the door is closed.

"Well, Tiny and Baby are the most important things...Speaking of Tiny and Baby. I haven't called Lori and Chris yet." She gently strokes Tiny's blonde wisps of hair with her thumb.

"Yeah I'll call them." He nods as Baby starts fussing from her father's arms.

"And give me Baby so I can feed them." Stevie smiles.

"Of course Angel." Lindsey nods, leaning over and transferring the child.

"No, not yet, we're calling them baby and tiny right now." Lindsey spoke through the phone as Stevie peered down at her babies who were eating from her greedily. But the sweet thing was, the way that Stevie was feeding them allowed Baby to reach over and put her hand on her twin.

Lindsey hung up the phone and made his way back over to Stevie and she looked up at him. "Stella and Luna."

"Hmm?" He asks.

"We should name them Stella and Luna." Stevie replies.

"William, Stella, and Luna...I like it.  What are their middle names?" Lindsey inquires.

"Stella Anne Buckingham, and Luna...Luna...."

"Luna Catherine." Lindsey answers.

"Yeah, it's pretty but I want to spell it as K-A-T-H-E-R-Y-N." Stevie coos.

"Now, which is which?" Lindsey asks.

Stevie stares at them intently and then she bites her lip. "Baby is Stella, Tiny is Luna."

"You don't want the blondie to be Stella?" Lindsey asks.

"No, the blondie isn't Stella. The blondie is Luna." Stevie nods referring to the fraternal nature of the twins.

Though they were both girls, they were both so different and it was clear as day. Stella had brown curly hair and she looked just like Lindsey and William. Luna, Luna was different. She had blonde straight hair and she looked just like Stevie. Tiny-Luna-was so much like her mother in her short 12 hours of life, that there was just a connection there. Stevie would never ever choose favorites in any way, but she's starting to think that maybe Luna was sent to her by destiny for a reason
