Hayat POV:

I woke up as usual at 7am. I freshened up and lay down on my bed again. I am Graduating. Correction. I graduated. Two days ago.

I was lazing in my bed, letting the sunlight through my window soak me through. I was happy. I was beyond happy. I graduated my dream course from a reputed college at the top of my class. I quickly mumbled a small prayer to the Almighty expressing my gratitude for giving me the most loving family, food on the table, clothes in the wardrobe, money in the bank and most importantly giving me a calm, peaceful and clear state of  mind. I did get my dream job. It's a small but promising firm, in VANCOUVER CANADA. A loud continuous thudding on my door broke my chain of thoughts.

"Go away, it's 8 in the morning!" I shouted "Oh come on sleeping beauty! Open up" Irem shouted from the other side of the door. "Open up or I won't stop banging on the door. Let's see how you will sleep with that" Groaning I slid down from the bed and opened the door. Only to be bear hugged by Irem to a point that I fell back on the floor with her on top of me. "Hayat!!!! Here's my graduating gift for you." She screamed gleefully in my ears while slipping me an envelop. I eyed it suspiciously. "Oh come one! Open up" It was tickets. To HAWAII. I couldn't comprehend a thing. I'm flying to Hawaii. Let me check when. TONIGHT. "I've arranged a graduation party for you" "IN HAWAII ?!?!" "Yes. I've invited our entire family. They all are showing up. And you better start packing if you want to make it to your own party,"she added. "Visa? " I asked her confused. "Well I managed that." Cihangir chimed in. I couldn't stop my happy tears. I hugged them both.

After a lot of rush packing and practically making Cihangir and Serkan go mad, I and Irem managed to finish my packing just in time to leave for the airport. The whole journey Serkan and Cihangir would not stop teasing and irritating us. I later managed to tune them both out.

Yes I was having a graduation party with my family. For 2 reasons:

1. Family was everything to me.

2.  I really didn't have friends. Since I was taking extra classes to graduate early, I really didn't have time to meet and hangout with classmates. I was on good terms with all of them but never interacted with them outside the university. Besides I had my very own three little monkeys : Irem, Serkan and Cihangir; that would entertain me. Serkan, Cihangir and me lived together while Irem would be flying in and out in her vacation time. When she was not physically with us, we would facetime 24/7.

We finally reached Hawaii. Irem had booked an entire private villa for us. My entire family was already there. We were the last to arrive. After freshening up we had a hearty lunch. Followed by playing cards in a quaint little nook on the beach. Technically the beach was private so it was quiet the entire time. We found a little spot surrounded by trees that gave us shade, rocks that broke the wind so that our cards won't fly away but still had the view of the beach. After a while we went for a swim.

The swim was refreshing. The water was not very cold and the warm sunshine was making me feel that I was in a paradise. That evening I had my graduation dinner. We had dinner outside under the open sky. These guys had decorated the place with fairy lights, loads and loads of fluffy pillows and thin curtains. For a moment I hoped Murat will walk out and it will be us; just like the fake birthday celebration but Bahar snapped me out of it. I was disappointed in me. Murat was locked in the memory. Don't reopen that chapter of your life again Hayat.

The rest of the dinner was a happy memory. I received loads of gifts. Nothing extravagant. Just the small thoughtful gifts that I appreciated from the bottom of the heart. The rest of the week passed away in blur. We did snorkelling, climbed the mountains at odd hours to see the starlit sky, sailing, ziplining and volcano tour as well.

Time to return to reality with a heart full of happy moments, memories full of laughter, and shoes full of sand. Return to a happy reality. I was leaving for Canada for a new chapter in a week after returning. My parents hugged and kissed me. I gave everyone a group hug.

The 1 week flew quickly with all the packing. Every day Serkan and Cihangir would come and drop a new eatery item in my bag. They insisted on coming with me there till I settle down but swallowed the firm NO of my response. It was difficult for them too. I could see the "separation with my baby sister" pain in there eyes since we practically lived under the same roof for 3 years.

Today was the day I bid goodbye to my life in Japan. I did visit my teachers with a small gift to express my gratitude yesterday. I hugged and kissed the three precious people and turned around and walked in to the airport. To a new life. This is happy good bye. This is a goodbye that means we will meet again. Until next time...
