Chapter 3 Havoc at what once was home

Emine pov

I woke up at 5:45 am. I don't know why but I had an uneasy feeling in my heart. I called out Hayat Asli and Ipek's names to wake them up and went on to get ready myself. I knew that these girls won't wake up so I went to their room again. I shook Ipek and Asli to wake them up but Hayat's bed was empty. I thought maybe she was already up and in the backyard. I went on to prepare breakfast for everybody. Everyone came down to eat but Hayat was still nowhere to be found. 

Emine: Asli go call Hayat for breakfast

Asli: She wasn't in the room when we woke up. Must be in the backyard. (checks backyard while Hashmet dada was talking about the rituals that would be conducted today) Nope Emine aunty, she is not in the backyard either.

Ipek: She'll come home soon. She can't stay hungry remember?

Emine: We will go to the farmer's market after breakfast. We will take your car Ipek we need to buy lots of stuff.

Ipek: Sure aunty.

Ipek pov:

It was already 7 am when breakfast was over. The doorbell rang. I'll get it I shouted as I walked to open the door. 

Courier Service: Ipek Bulut

Ipek: That's me.

Courier Service: Here is the parcel for you and this is the bill. It is cash on Delivery.

It sure did say cash on Delivery so I simply paid off the charges but I do not remember ordering anything.

Emine: Who was it dear?

Ipek: There's a parcel .......for me

Hashmet dada: Why do you sound so unsure

Ipek: I do not remember ordering this. Wait let me open it.

There were two letters one addressed to me and Asli and the other addressed to Hashmet Dada. There were also keys and a mobile phone that looked very similar to Hayat's. Never mind let's see what is written in the letter. I handed Hashmet dada his letter. He seemed speechless and asked me to read our letter aloud.

Dear Asli and Ipek,

I am running away. Far from this place. Far from the people I once called my family. Ipek, I have taken your car with me, the keys are attached with this letter. Please find it in the parking lot near the Giresun airport. By the time you wake up, I will not be anywhere near you. This airport was my first leg of the journey. Do not try to find me. I left no traces behind. Why did I leave is a mystery that I have taken with me. I don't want to risk you to interrogation or emotional blackmail or compulsion that my so-called family is capable of. I will always love you. And if our reunion is written in our fates, it will happen. Till then take care of yourselves lovelies.

Tears started flowing down my eyes. I could see the stains on the letter too. Hayat had already cried. She ran away. She had RAN away at night. I couldn't decide if I should be happy for her or if I feel sorry that we won't be in contact for a foreseeable amount of time. I decided to just be both. Emine aunty was crying after reading the letter in Hashmet Dada's hand. I went over and read it. I was shocked. Hayat had severed her ties with her ENTIRE FAMILY! I could partly feel her pain but I felt bad for Emine aunty too

Asli pov

Hayat had left us. I could no longer stay in the room with others. I wanted space to absorb all of this. I rushed to my room and decided to text Doruk to inform him about the incident. I saw his recent text. That just confused me more. Murat was going to come to rescue her right? So why would Hayat run away? Why? There was definitely something going on. I guess calling was a better option to sort out this confusion.

Asli: Doruk... Doruk...Hayat..She..she (I was sobbing, trying hard to form a sentence but the recent incident had numbed me to an extent that it was hard to form a sentence)

Murat: Asli, this is Murat. What happened to Hayat? Is she okay? Where is she? Why are you sobbing?

Asli: Murat, Hayat is not here....(I did not know how to break the news to him)

Murat: Not here as in? Where is she?

Asli: Listen to me okay? Murat. Hayat ran away.

Ipek had joined Asli in the room and had nudged Asli to put the phone on speaker.

Murat: WHATT?.. What do you mean she ran away? I had told Doruk to text you that I am coming? Didn't you tell her that? Her Murat was coming for her.

Ipek pov: Had it been any other day, I would have lashed out at Murat but I knew even he was worried so I decided to talk calmly

Ipek: Murat all of this had not happened if you had asked her to stay and listened to her once. But no, you had your big ego. You texted that you'll come after 2 days! That too through Doruk.

Asli: Ipek not now, please. Murat, we did convey your message to her. She was crying I mean she was having those happy tears and then excused herself to the bathroom. Ipek and I fell asleep soon after so that was the last time we saw her.

Murat: Ipek Nene is hospitalized. She was getting discharged today, so I was coming today. I'll leave immediately. We'll think of something after we get there. (and he cut the call)

Meanwhile, Hashmet Dada had called the grooms and called off the wedding. He was disappointed in Hayat and did not feel sorry for her.
